I know that several CFC members have a last.fm account so I took the liberty to create a last.fm group. :)

http://www.last.fm/group/Civilization+Fanatics%27+Forums

It's essentially a joint account where every members music is registered and various charts is compiled from that. There will also be a CFC "radio station" playing members favourite music that anyone can listen to. Perhaps a source for new good music?

Join conditions: open. We need a avatar picture, ideas? :undecide:.

Updates
2006-09-23: forum created and temporary avatar uploaded. All members and only members can post, anyone can read.

ooh good idea! :)

i know perf will have kittens, but can we use the pentagon av?

how does it link to myspace?

Login to your acccount and go to the web page, then click on the join button to the left under the avatar.

Perfections Pentagon AV? Well I'd like something that would symbolise the forum more. Since the Fanatic is already available as avatar on CFC I'll put that one up temporarily. edit: meh, I can't get it to update. Anyway we need a 150x150 max 20kb image.

I'll get in on it, no time to set up now, but over the next couple of days.

Anybody mind if I include some of my original stuff?

I don't think you have a choice, I just enable the program and it says what I'm playing.

Presumably on the group thing it joins it all together?

thats what i figured.. you can always skip a song if you think its poo

Haven't been using last.fm for hundreds of years, since my HD with my music collection crashed, but I've joined, nontheless.

Great! We need 15 members to generate charts and already got 10.:goodjob:

I think you submit everything you play. When you listen to the radio you can skip a track.

Do you see the avatar? I'm suspecting there's something wrong with my browsers...

Of course you submit everything you play - in the correct music player with the last.fm plug-in, of course.

The tracks you listen to on the last.fm radio are also recorded to your profile's played list.

good idea, count me in :)
