EDIT: Whoops, forgot to move the cape any. Oh well, please ignore that.
When you do move the cape, also make it one piece and colour, as the current cape looks like it's made of three pieces (2 red side pieces with a blue central piece).

TO Husky: Uh... Sorry, but I can't do that in OpenFX. It does this model inconsistancy thing, and erases all my animations. I've tried it before, unfortunatly.

TO Dease: Actually, that is Civ-sized :p... It's about as big as the normal swordsman, so I figured it'd be fine. About the running, actually he bounces quite a bit. I just over-compensated with the of the chest and stomach. Easy to fix. Other than that, the only thing I can think is that the legs might move a bit too much (?).

@dom - they're too futuristic :p

@kulade - WS78 is a replacement for the jetfighter

@AVF - IMO the leg coming down from the front should be infront of the back leg when it's coming forwards, but again, I'm just being picky :sad:
also you can change the colour in ofx noproblem :confused:

TO Dease: I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I did edit it. I think it does look some better now, IMHO. I don't mind you being picky though, you're just trying to give me advice (criticism is always welcome, if it's constructive :) ).

Also, how do you edit models after putting them into multiple animations? This would be very helpful, as I have messed them up a couple time.

TO Husky: The blue stripe was suposed to add some civ-specific colors to the back, so if he was running north, you could see which civ he's from.

EDIT: Forgot about the shield :p.

Also, aside from making Husky's units, I've been working on a unit based on that drawing I posted a while back. I think it's coming along nicely, and I don't think it's too furturistic (definitly an end-of-the-game kinda unit). Previews of the re-redone wolf run ( :lol: ) and my E-MBS (Exo-Mech Berzerkir Suit; I just love acronyms :p ) below.

BTW: The E-MBS is the first model I did entirely from scratch :D. I manage -somehow- to go from squarish-blobs, to fairly decent models in a single day :rolleyes:. More emoticons!

Ive decided to ditch the Plutonians for several reasons most important among them is Im not convinced I was thinking clearly when I made the decision. My new 2nd UU which I am currently working on is a modern paratrooper replacement and I think im gonna bump the assault squad back to guerilla (its more appropriate anyway). Im not entirely sure what to call this guy but Im sure Ill figure something out eventually

You could have made the entire cape civ coloured.

@ AVY - I think my problem with the run is that he doesn't seem to be hitting the ground ;)
Anyways, to edit a model that you've insterted into the animator you have to open the model in the designer and mess with it there, however you can not add or delete ANY verticies or else you'll getthe inconsitent error thing. If you've inserted it as a robot then you CAN add and delete verticies, you can even move the joints around and not get an inconsistent error, however, you CAN NOT add or remove joints.

That other unit looks REALLY good :goodjob:

@DPII- I actually haven't ahd much time since I finished the SHT for units, I may start on the model today but I wanna start on the egyptian pikeman model soon too so......it'll get done......eventually :p

@ civarmy - what's your second UU?

*shrugs* No rush... just so long as it'll be ready for the mod... so you've got like ten years to finish it... ;)

TO Dease & Husky: In that case, I'll just make the whole cape civ colored. Since I'm only editing the color, it should be fine, but I'm going to back up the folder first. The other inconsistancy errors made me paranoid.

EDIT: About the running, I haven't added shadows yet, that may help. I'm not quite sure how, but I assume I just add a light source next to a camera I'm viewing from (?). If you could tell me exactly how you guys do it, that'd be nice :D.

Oh, and thanks for the comment on the E-MBS :).

EDIT: The color changing worked, the cape is now all civ-specific, Husky.

Got the run for my E-MBS... IT'S A BIRD! NO, IT'S A PLANE! WAIT... IT'S FLYING, PSYCHOTIC DEATH!!! AHHH!!!

right...and i was gonna suggest that we add a few techs and some other units to fill in the civ3 gaps...doh!

IMO units should only replace epic ones, too much work to balance everything when you're adding totally new units ;)

@ AVY - add a lightsource directly above the unit (quite high) and have it flagged as normal, then experiment with the intensity (use the greyscale thingy) until it looks al lighted as aciv3 unit thats basically it, but when you go to render go to the settings tab and decrease the shadow intensity to ~15-20 hope that helps :)
BTW, nice work with the glow effect :goodjob:

I want my second UU replaces tank and attack two tiems per turn, I'll draw this unit soon. If u must give it a name, u can call "Esquadrão da Morte". For my first unit, that replaces Cavalry, its name could be "Arrastão".

TO Dease: Thanks and thanks :D... Is the shadow supposed to be all one color though?

Sorry for the OTin' :p...
no, the shadow isn't supposed to be all one colour but ofx isn't powerful enough to do civ-like shadows :p

not really ot'ing ;)
