Yeah, the first citizen is going to post the save today.

Shoot the Moon said:I started RB Epic 4, and actually had the most fun I've ever had playing civ.
VoiceOfUnreason said:I'm not sure I would call it fun, but it was one of my more humourous games, that's for sure. Note that Epic 4 was rigged in one specific respect: the barbarians didn't start with archery, which they normally do at that level (I think so, anyway. They had it in my test games).
So what's the scoring? year of demise on your best attempt?
Don't forget to experiment with maps. This challenge is likely very different on Achipelago/Tiny Islands.

Immortal, standard, normal, pangaea, temperate, low sea level, with 5 opponents. I set the sea level and reduced opponents (6 is normal) because my first few test maps started with near neighbors and not many barbs. In one of those games, I managed to storm a neighbor and get up to six secure cities! Raging barbs and always war. I found I could survive the barbs and even grow a bit. Always war should make victory ultimately impossible, however, as no one will ever trade with you and they'll all have "mutual military struggle" bonuses with each other. We are Cyrus of the Persians. Expansive/Creative, Hunting and Agriculture, Immortals. Use them well. Winner is the last to die. Have fun.
peace,
