Settler from None
GaryNemo (5:04 PM) :
Dell19 will be Gov of Boreum! Jayne, Chryshe. We need you to consider all threads, tho. This is a wild discussion.
Civ1-addict (5:05 PM) :
I have been looking through the threads today but there are so many possibilities on so many issues...it's dazzling!!
GaryNemo (5:05 PM) :
Yes. I summarized the open issues a bit, near the end of Turn 120AD.
Civ1-addict (5:07 PM) :
It's a hard task for the president, I think the further the game goes the more issues will not be discussed fully and the president needs to make decisions himself. I think we should give the president our trust in taking the right decisions.
GaryNemo (5:07 PM) :
Yes. The Roskilde, save $100 or use $100. The Island, many items.
GaryNemo (5:07 PM) : Do you like Filler Cities? (my personal campaign, here)
Civ1-addict (5:08 PM) :
lol, well you sure seem to like em, don't you?
I never build them.
Never thought of building them either.
It's a new concept for me.
GaryNemo (5:08 PM) :
I'm on my own, then. I'll leave you to study and post. The Filler in Boreum is not going to pass, oh well.
GaryNemo (5:09 PM) :
I'll bring them all up again, and again... I have a sense of humor about it, and I know, I am not always right. Just my wife, she is always right.
Civ1-addict (5:09 PM) :
I don't think you're on your own on the filler issue, people have seen they're useful by now
GaryNemo (5:10 PM) :
LN. GG. BFL. The new one is a different idea. Many Roads, one Filler River Bridge.
GaryNemo (5:11 PM) :
My wife and I each let the other believe the spouse is smarter. We both know, we are smarter. Did I explain that correctly?
Civ1-addict (5:11 PM) : Where do you want to found River Bend Bridge Filler?
GaryNemo (5:11 PM) : On the River Bend, E E of Reneaux. Saves a lot of Roads.
We won't have bridge science for a looong time.
Civ1-addict (5:12 PM) : I know, but travel over rivers goes just as fast as over roads
GaryNemo (5:12 PM) : But on and off, that's where we need a city. Like Castle Jayne.
Civ1-addict (5:13 PM) :
I do see your point on going on and off the river, that costs time
GaryNemo (5:14 PM) : CJ, MT, Reneaux are all River Bridge Cities.
Civ1-addict (5:16 PM) :
We could build some more roads around OP as well as OP is build over the river
GaryNemo (5:17 PM) :
I think it saves 3 roads, at least, plus the Ebor transportation.
Civ1-addict (5:17 PM) :
If building a city in that region I would go for the site NE NE NE of Marl Downs.
That's a good city site
GaryNemo (5:18 PM) :
Yes. Or NE NE E, on the point. Now a Forest, doesn't matter.
Civ1-addict (5:19 PM) :
Oh no! never mind we should wait for the island to be uncovered and build the city on that island, all squares will be used then as well!
GaryNemo (5:19 PM) : Huh? You've switched to the New SE Island?
Civ1-addict (5:20 PM) : No, the island off the coast of MD and OP
GaryNemo (5:20 PM) :
Oh, an unknown. We're building a Trireme in MD. Find out real soon.
Civ1-addict (5:22 PM) :
Yeah. The new island we can barely see below the island our settler and warrior are on. I think it's not an island but the South Pole. Click below there and you'll see you can't go down any further...
GaryNemo (5:23 PM) : True. I see. About 3-4 squares due South.
Civ1-addict (5:24 PM) :
Exactly, I don't expect too much of that piece of land. Do you want to settle on land connected to the south pole? AI loves exploring over the poles I've heard...
GaryNemo (5:24 PM) :
I like to, too. Get Settlers from None on the poles.
Civ1-addict (5:25 PM) :
There are huts there too I've seen, but barbs can pop up from them too.
GaryNemo (5:26 PM) :
A risk. Harbors and Explorers, the Explorer can rip around the pole quickly. But the AI may have done it first, took all the huts.
GaryNemo (5:27 PM) :
Soon I must go home for dinner. I think this chat deserves to be posted. In a new thread "Chat with Consular Civ1" or add to Goofy chats? I like the former.
Civ1-addict (5:28 PM) : I've also posted something in the 120AD thread
GaryNemo (5:30 PM) : Good post about the Dip and the NE.
GaryNemo (5:32 PM) : CivGeneral hasn't posted any Military stuff...
Civ1-addict (5:33 PM) :
Oh well, sometimes democracy just doesn't work the way you wish.
GaryNemo (5:34 PM) : We will cope... Any other game matters?
Civ1-addict (5:35 PM) : No. Good Night!
