Chatroom Rivalry

An update:

The Indians are now destroyed.. I took there capital (and only city) acouple of turns ago. Currently the points are at:

Strider: 93
Gainy: 67
Boots: 63

May I add that there is some tension at the moment between myself and Strider, as I have increasingly little space to exapnd, and he is next to me looking fearsome ;) War is imminent...

The tension has broken.. Currently, both boots and I are at war with Gainy.... boy he's screwed..

Ok, an update (and some screenshots) Gainy, boots, and I have agreed on a peace settlement.. under some certain conditions...

Here is some screens:

My newest city (once upon the time the Indian capital Delhi):

And... my old cities:

I'd just like everyone to know that Boots is a Scammer, and no-one should trust him. Here's an updated pic of my territory...

I rejuvinated myself and Boots' peace treaty, and put 5 gold on the table as well, then next turn I see this...

AFAIK, you don't know what its like to play mp (pbem in this case) as its against a human who is unpredictable (col), or in this case them two. Good luck Gainy, but I see your death soon and its gonna be Boots vs Strider very soon.

That's true, in my other PBEM (out of 2 including this) i'm still in BC. I thought I could take people's word for things. I had a warrior outside Boots' EMPTY capitol in the early game, and didn't take it even when he declared war on me. I could have got a worker also... This was only because we had this peace treaty (which he paid me 5 gold), and he accidentaly delcared war on me...
Guess i'll never trust him again.

That was VERY dumb of you. Take ANY chance you get. I've played (and playing) many pbems. Take ANY you chance to hurt the other humans. Chances are you won't get another chance and it will come back to bite you in the ass.

Guess i'll never trust him again.

Don't do that. Yes, be wary of him in future pbems, but don't do that. Col backstabbed me but I don't/won't use that against him in future pbems.

I had a spearman built before you could have taken the city, though not before you could move one tile away from it. I only moved the troops because of a deal with Strider, and I have half a mind to ask him how this happened:

BTW, I'm only doing this because of an alliance with him after you threatened to take his newly gained city, and you kind of forced me to extend our NAP by threatening to attack me instead of Strider. As soon as that happened, I was between you and him diplomatically; honoring one deal would mean breaking the other. I didn't mean to move them for the next few turns; those troops weren't supposed to be at your border at this moment. I have no idea how they got there before they were supposed to; I don't remember moving them. But anyway, I am at least halfway honorable, even if that half is with Strider and not you. ;)

I was already going for the Indians, then Strider took Dehli. Hence, I left my (single)archer OUTSIDE his territory.
Secondly, it wasn't me who declared war on Strider, he was the one who declared war on me -- my understanding for your agreement was that if I attacked either of you, then you would stick together -- well, I didn't.

The purpose of your NAP, as I understand it, would be to control agression. A more effective way of controlling my agression would be to actaully tell me that you've got one of these under the table deals going on, then I would know that if I were to attack either on of you (Note: Which i didn't do), then you both would declare war on me.
I don't see how y'all wanted to have a peaceful game when you two were the ones who were declaring war. Then are demanding money for peace. Something else to add, why did you accept my offer for peace (before I offered) if you knew fine well you were going to break that deal? You could have said...

I knew this, I was just looking for sympathy from the onlookers :mischief:

Gainy... first off... I had told you that I had force's near Delhi ready to attack several turns ago... second... your archer DID NOT show up intill 3 turns AFTER the city was taken. Not only that, but you threatened to take the city from me, then acouple turns later a vetern archer shows up outside my terrority... only natural that I would declare war and tell you to move it... or I will remove it myself.

I don't know what you're talking about :mischief:

Currently Gainy and I are trying to make a deal, but he seems not to have kept his side..

The deal was going to be Pottery and Contact with Boots... for 195g and Writing, but I got the deal back... and there was no Pottery included with it... so.. I think he's trying to jip me ;).

I'm doing nothing of the sort :mischief:
I'm happy to inform y'all that the war situation is no more, but boots is weary as I have a warrior presently in his territory above a poorly defended city. I am posting this, just so that it is on record, that - that warrior is there purely to save 1 turns movement(going around his territory). I said this to Boots (in #civfanatics), and am posting just so that if I went back on my word, then I would lose all credebilty - which I don't intend on doing :)

Gainy, a simple warning from me though... you move any units (settler or otherwise) within 5 tiles from any of my settlers/main cities. I'll remove it.... Nothing is coming near me.

That is good, Gainy, but be warned that future movements of troops into my territory may be considered grounds for war.

How am I supposed to know if i'm near your troops/boundaries until I am next to them? :crazyeye:

And I find this funny coming from you both, seeing that you claim that you want a peaceful game...

I never claimed that. ;)

Also, you threatened to declare war against me when I had a warrior in your territory, exploring so as to make contact with Strider. :p
