In every world championship I've followed, the players play the same kinds of games over and over again. It gets repetitive and boring.

Yup. It would have been more exciting if it would have been in the style of the Fischer-Spassky match of 1992 where draws don't count & the first player to reach 10 wins takes all. That way it's somewhat exciting down to the last game & the winner can't lose or draw the last game.

Well, maybe best to 5 wins. I don't see what's wrong with a long match, Karpov & Kasporov used to have some epic duels.
