IMPORTANT Zimbabwe will build Colossus in 2 turns, Either keep it or change to Pyramids.

I think we should stick with with colossus, and head for the pyramids second.

The pyramids won't help our feeble cities for a while, I say stick with the Colossus.

hey ya'll. i got the file and will try to post it sometime today. i'm probably going to get the collasus (sp). i'll try to wipe out Japan i f possible.

A new king takes the throne, Axid the second son of Axid the Iron Fist.

Here is what the kings personal diary’s have to say about his reign.

170BC- The great Colossus was completed in the city of Zimbabwae. Work was started on a temple to the new king.

150BC- Bapedi builds a garrison of swordsman and start’s work on and another garrison of them. The new garrison goes off to the front to fight the Japanese. We attack Osaka with a garrison of swordsman, and we are victorious. The city of Osaka is razed (autoraze feature) and will be no more. The greeks eventually build a city there is about a hundred years.

90BC- The city of Ulundi builds another garrison of our glorious swordsman and sends them to the front. The city then starts work on a band of settlers. We then attack a spearman of the Japanese and we win. We find that they were escorting a band of settlers and we split them into 2 worker groups and send them back towards the capital to start they’re life of punishment.

70BC- We capture another worker from the Japanese and send him to start working in our own territory.

50BC- Bapedi finishes a garrison of swordsman who are sent to the front and they start work on a garrison of Impi to stay and defend our home. Our industrious workers finish a mine on a mountain and low and behold they find gold. The people are very happy with this and the area is more productive.

30BC- Our sages discover the secret to map making. I direct them to start work on polytheism. The city of Hlobane builds a swordsman and starts work on a galley to explore the seas.

10BC- A garrison of our swordsman attack the Japanese city of Kyoto prematurely and they are killed in the battle. In retaliation of killing our troops we pillage a mine and road.

10AD- We pillage more improvements near Kyoto to make them suffer and lay siege to the city. They can no longer get supplies in to the city. We approach with our glorious armies and make ready to attack.

30AD.- The temple to king Axid the 2nd is complete in Zimbabwae. I command them to start work on band of settlers. In Bapedi a garrison of Impi’s is completed and we fortify them in the city. I then command the city to train a garrison of swordsman. A jungle is cleared near Zimbabwae and the citizens rejoice.

50AD- We attack the city of Kyoto with a garrison of impis to confuse them, and we lose the garrison unfortunately. The plan works however because when we attack with our full force we take the city. A new governor is installed and we work on quelling the resistors. A temple to the conqueror Axid the 2nd is started in the City of Kyoto. Another garrison of swordsman is trained in Bapedi. It is sent up to prepare for a future assault on the Greeks. We start another garrison of swordsman in Bapedi to be prepared for the Greek army.

70AD- The Japanese request an audience with me and I see them. They say they want peace and yet they offer nothing. I make a counter offer for everything they have. And they accept. From the foray we get horseback riding, their world map and all of their money (19$). And then we get ready for a sneak attack on their last city, Tokyo. A garrison of our impis fortify in the city of Kyoto to keep it happy.

90AD- We go and talk to the Japanese and demand that they pay tribute of 20 gold per turn, he tells me to go boil my had in a pot. We then leave and warn him to watch his back,

110AD- Yet another Garrison of swordsman completed in Bapedi, we start training another one. A settler in Zimbabwae is completed and a garrison of impis is started. The time for our treachery is near.

130AD- The time is come we declare war on Japan again and when Kyoto hears of it they riot. It is quickly quelled.

150AD- We attack Tokyo with a garrison of swordsman and we win a great battle. We then attack again and we are defeated, but not without taking out half of their forces in the city.

170AD- We attack Tokyo yet again and lose a veteran garrison. I decide this is enough playing around and call in an elite legion of swordsman to capture or destroy the city. They attack and they are victorious, but the city is in ruin. The elite troops decide it is better left as a ruin and burn it to the ground. Japan is now destroyed, and they’re leader, Tokugawa the idiot is brought before me. He begs me not to kill him. I tell him he should have thought of that before declaring war on us. I told him that the Zulu people never forget. And then order him to be publicly executed in one week to give the people a chance to come and see. All of the Japanese people our dead :king: , other than the remnant that still survives in Tokyo but they will be assimilated. The king figures that this will be his last act, and he turns out to be right.

190AD- A jungle is cleared near Zimbabwae the people our glad. Our troops start to approach the Greek land and we want to take it from them, but the king decides it is not quite time. He decides to gather his troops around the city and after that take it. But it turns out that it was not to be for the King is taken ill and dies that night. And as news of this is brought back to Zimbabwae the people mourn the loss of Axid the 2nd they thank he was taken to soon, also can another leader come and finish what he started. The takeover of the continent. And the people wonder.

I think we should take out the greeks as fast as possible and then get the chinese, but it’s not my decision. I have things set to take the greek city in two turns if anybody wants to.

and here's the game

Way to go Axid:goodjob: The long road towards conquering the continent is started. Sparta was only defended by a warrior, I don't know if this is still so or not. Japan was easy to defeat, but the Greeks will be tougher with their Hoplites. Good luck johgn:)

thanks hamurabi. do you want me continue to write it like a story or should i just give the bare facts? just wondering. kind of enjoyed writing it like that though.

your very right but sparta should be easy to take cause of the setup of about five swordsman around it. i hope i'm right.

I liked the story way of doing it. It was interesting, much better than my attempt at a story

don't worry about it. i've writing semi stories for years, and years. and i'm only 16 so i should be getting decetn at it. oh by the way how old are you? just wondering.

210 AD Hlobane build a galley, starts barracks. Ulundi build settler
start swordsman.
230 AD Bapedi builds swordsman, starts another. Amassing troops to take
Sparta.
250 AD Build Isandhlwana right on horsies.
260 AD Sparta defended by a warrior! Stack of 4 swordsman moves in.
270 AD Finish researching poly, start philosophy (only 8 turns). War
declared on Greece, Sparta now has a hoplite. We take Sparta.
280 AD We found Intombe.
290 AD Bapedi build swordsman, Zimbabwe build Impi.
300 AD Hlobane finished barracks, starts Impi.
310 AD Our galley finds an island to the south, mountains and iron and horses.
320 AD Troops approaching Athens.
330 AD Elite swordsman defeats hoplite in Athens. Veteran swordsman
loses to hoplite, then have 2 left and I decide to back off.
340 AD Troop regroup
350 AD Another island with iron found.
360 AD Horses online in 4 turns
370 AD Regroup
380 Impi finished in Zimbabwe starts Great Lighthouse (meant to switch
to library when we get literature in 6 turns).
390 Troops begin to organize for raid on Athens
400 Horses come online, Bapedi switched to horseman.
410 Troop movement
420 Troop movement

We will have 5 swordsmen outside Athens next turn, I guess Greece will
have 3 hoplites in there. We could choose to go after their other two
cities or get Athens now.

Nice rounds! :) I think Ulundi and Hlobane should have a few more cultural improvements (being that they're the closest to the Chinese border). But, that could be for the somewhat near future. Atleast we don't have to content with any samurai units. :)

There are no cultural improvements to
make until we get literature except for temples.

I was just looking at the southern islands, and saw 3 possible city sites. Again, it's probably for the near/semi future (thus the orange), but atleast it'll deny another civ the use of those islands.

There are 2 overlapping squares, but is shouldn't be too much of a problem if we give them harbors.

one more try. (I guess it's case sensative...) :)

I have the game, and I'll post either tonight or tomorrow.

Oh man, it's almost my turn again. I love how this game is going so fast.

Hey Chieftess, how do you post such good screenshots, mine are always horrible.

And to Axid, I'm 14, almost 15 and I stink at English and Grammar and Compostion( That probably explains why I'm bad at stories. All my reports and compositions get bad grades, even after I've worked on them forever. It must be me taking Latin, it's taking away the language part of my brain.)

that's kewl hammurabi, other than the elnglsih lit and grammar thing. i stink at grammar when it get's to gerund and all that mess, i hate it. it's insamely maddening.

anyways. this is definatly a good game for right now. we will probably want to meet mroe peeps soon, i'd think.

420 AD - (0)

With the Japanese gone, our attention has focused on to the continuing Greeco-Zulu wars. Cities were micromanaged for maximum production and commerce output. Units were also moved around in preparation for more attacks. (Personally, I like swordsman, since they have a higher attack and defense. Horses and Impis are equivalent to fast moving warriors and archers).

430 AD - (1)

The battle for Athens is taking heavy casualties on both sides, however, we aeem to be getting the upper hand.

440 AD - (2)

3 barbarian ships pull up near Intombe. Athens build a spearmen and managed to hold off our advance!

450 AD - (3)

The Chinese are building the Pyramids. No biggie, we'll take the pyramids once we conquer China in the long run.

460 AD - (4)

More troop movement towards Athens.

470 AD - (5)

More troop movement towards Athens.

480 AD - (6)

A barb galley attacks ours. It is now elite.

490 AD - (7)

Bapedi is building The Great Library.

500 AD - (8)

Greece wants peace, but we do not accept their terms. More troop movement towards Athens.

510 AD - (9)

More troop movement towards Athens.

520 AD - (10)

More troop movement towards Athens. Micromanagement.

530 AD - (11)

More troop movement towards Athens. Micromanagement.

540 AD - (12)

More troop movement towards Athens.

550 AD - (13)

More troop movement towards Athens. Galley defeats 2 barb ships.

560 AD - (14)

More troop movement towards Athens. (We need more efficient roads).

570 AD - (15)

More troop movement towards Athens. Infrastructure improvements.

580 AD - (16)

More troop movement towards Athens. Infrastructure improvements. We get currency.

590 AD - (17)

A regular archer defeats our veteran swordsman!

600 AD - (18)

2nd swordsman avenges his fallen comrade. :)

610 AD - (19)

Another archer attacks the same swordsman and losses. Our swordsman becomes elite. Isandhlwana's swordsman heads towards Delphi. Don't attack there until we have 5 or more units (on that mountain).

620 AD - (20)

Troops now surrond Athens. Another battle is set to begin.

My turn went quite slowly. If you want, you can move more troops over. (Impis don't seem to stand a chance against hoplites.)

BTW, as for the screenshots, I use Paint Shop Pro, and save them as JPGs, or GIFs. Also, the lines and stuff that I draw require pure precision. :D
