Update 2: 450-600 RH

Some say history is simply question of weight ratios, asserting a five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut. Others say it is like a box of chocolates, but only mildly ******** people or people who misquote a great movie say that. But History is naught but a portrait, and the colors that make it up are the people and civilizations it over sees.

The Druids of Daeuron are high minded you could say, spreading their beliefs through force if neccary. But in their lands, life is vibrate. The infant mortality rate is zero, and the people flock about in an eternal glee. Magic is directed towards food production, with groves and groves of sparkling fruits of all colors, silvers, pinks and purples, blessed white pears and black as night berries the size of your fist. Life for them was a utopian natural way, clothes rarely seen. But with all actions there are consequences, as they continued to expand they began to hear rumors from the people they would absorb. Horrible rumors of a kingdom of women who’s screeches pierced the heavens who enslaved their men as slaves, ruled by a Man who some say lived off the blood of others. These stories were disregarded until contact with the Kingdom of Szan was made. But the druids concluded that the rumors must have been false, for while the woman were hideous and the men looked enslaved, the King, Szvax was a cordial man, always looking lively if a bit pale. He did have those weird teeth though… but who were the druids to judge other cultures. So relations between the Druids and the Banshee Kingdom(as its called also) remain cordial, despite rumor that children on the borderlands are disappearing…

The people of Uroussydia are a sea-faring race of hardy humans at home on the salty brine of the Great Sea as its called. They have always been fishers, but they have taken to the sea’s in their longboats to trade. They are masters of the Surf and Winds, manipulating the wind to get them to their destination. Their merchant culture is strong amongst their peoples love of money, but from now on they have discovered they cannot buy culture(OOC: Cough cough). Their exploration of far away lands has brought them much knowledge, and their learned the High Elf Alphabet and have spread it due to their travels. They have also begun to build a grand temple to the Wind Gods, one that will draw in the wind to their great port city. (+culture, +academia.)

The land of Lux, what a splendid place. They continue to invest in their great forge, but in a fit of forsight they have given the surrounding land to the Order of Solaris for “services rendered in defense of people of Lux and because of their devotion to Sol.” The Solaris order has built a great city there named after themselves called Solaris. This has given a home to the workers and engineers of the Forge. It seems the Orders of Solaris’s power is rising in Lux, for because of their new city and power center you could say more and more people have joined up(+500 bonus Solaris) plus the usual recruits(the ones you paid for ;)). They pretty much have control of the northern part of Greater Lux, but that is not a bad thing, no life is nice there, but it DOES take away authority from the High Priest, leader of the Luxese. In the south of their Island they build a great port of Valo. They had heard tales of a great Island, greater in size than Greater Lux itself. So they sent Missionaries to this land, and what they found surprised them. They found a civilization of Humans who worshiped their god, a Sphinx who lived in grandeur at a giant palace. They devouted themselves to the magics of Illusion and Shapeshifting to please her. The Solaris were greeted and then sent away. What does the future hold here?(+1000 Solarians, +Valo, Solaris, +2 Culture for great stories)

Naxxramas, dark, evil, expansionist Naxxramas. Who knew they would be the ones to export civilization? But the Soul Lords, the People of Carnage, whatever grandiose titles you wish to give them, through their aggressive expansion and policies have spurred the formation of two entities on their borders. To the East, after centuries of oppression and being enslaved by the Naxxramites, the Ratfolk, Rezumaven as they call themselves in their dreadful language have migrated to the edges of Naxxramas and formed what could be described as a League of Swamp Villages. There is no distinct capitals or even cities. Its mostly just these Rat scum forming together and rejecting the enslavement and oppression of their folk for the last 5-6 centuries. Insolence much? And to the West the Naxxramas expanded heavily, leaving the mountain range area. And they found themselves face to face with a Centaur Culture, the Pindars(OOC: hehehe, historical refrences). They are a noble people but in their nobility hold themselves high than the Naxxramas, their air of superiority makes the air pugent. Will Naxxramas use these two potential allies, or just give their Carnoms exercise? Naxxramas has also begun experimenting in the lost and ancient dark arts, dicover a great chest embedded in the mountains full of texts. But they must tread lightly. (+Academia)

To the East we come to Gorin. Miltarizing it seems, it has begun to recruit more and more axeman. But the most interesting it seems was what the new axeman are doing. It seems that, at the encouraging or sometimes even forcing, of the Lord General Basu, many, some say 1,000 have surrendered themselves to…well..pure mana. They have become possessed, mutated by the pure force of red mana. They’re strength is amazing but to control them takes much work. The ones that retain their ability to speak talk of a burning beast, the mind of fire. These Battle-Magi as their called are ferocious with fire literally in their eyes. They can lose limbs and take 10-15 arrows easily before stumbling. And their deaths are spectacular. A giant pillar of flame, superheated and not even their ashes are left. Gorin has continued to move down the river, brutally crushing the hunter-gatherer human who lived around the delta. They did take some causilites, but you do tend to lose some people when killing a population of 10,000. (+1,000 Mutated Dwarves, -100 Axemen, -25 Battle-Magi.)

Aerurika, City of Drunks, Booze and Horny Honeys. Between the giant parties and again, massive orgies, they have continued working on their grand and beautiful wall. Who says freedom ain’t beautiful huh, huh? They also built many ships, called the Alers by foreigners as they spread their drunkenness around the world and pick up the Alcohol of foreign lands to bring back to their land. Everything went peachy in their city, they even invented the Piano and Harmonica so people in bars could listen to music. BRILLIANT!!! They also contructed a great temple to Aemor, but its more of an Orgy Hall, but who cares, WOOHHOO PARTY @ AEMORS HOUSE BABY!!!!! And in a feat of really coolness they constructed a giant fountain of get this….wine. Well it was water but then this cool dude named Heyzues turned the water in wine. Or was that Moe’s Sis? I can’t remember, dang you hangover.(OOC: That was IC, I don’t actually have a hangover). Everything was hunky-dory in Aerurika. Except the whole Nashiya thing(see later) and the incident of the Piano Man and the Bartender whose smile ran away from his face as his swore this was killing him and he wanted to get out of this place.

And now we come to the Hobbits of Wilthfarthing. A big and small people, again they are on the move. They have continued building there giant magic tree in Pennune, and have continued making babies. Because of this new influx of population, the Hobbits set out on their Hobbit Ships and began racing the Nashiya to settle the island chains around them. The hobbits, on the largest island, got a bit creative. Using their growth and life magic they constructed a great city of coral. So now the shimmering city of Ocenane sits atop Cee Island, a mark of the grace and beauty of Hobbit Magic and people. The Hobbits have also had very goof relations with the new Gnomish City-states to the south, trading with them and making in roads with the Tyrant of Leperchua. And Through a combination of domestication, breeding, and magic, the Hobbits have domesticed a minature version of the Wild Buffalo that roam the lands they inhabit, and they now ride them. They continue to increase their military, recruiting more and more spearmen and by making more Eagle Riders, because they are cheap miser who won’t pay education upkeep. They expanded a little bit, but they keep planting some trees where every they go, which creeps out the natives… I mean these midgets are erecting trees…weird…(+Ocenane, +200 Buffalo Riders, 25 Eagle Riders, 1000 Hobbit Spearmen)

And on the flipside of the Hobbits is Nashiya. The always noble, authoritarian leaning High Elves. Since they signed the NAP with the Hobbits, they fought what is known to histories as a settling war, claiming islands from each other and contesting them without actual warfare. The Nashiyans also settled a new city, Valiena on the coast line, and it is a major port of call for the Gnomish City states and for trade with the High Elf Islands. This city is known as Pearl Paradise because of its huge pearl farms and the enormity of the pearls themselves(Alex stop ripping off China, there are other countries too ya know ;)). They also discovered the cure to Male Pattern Baldness, giving their leader his hair back and restoring confidence in the regime. They continue giant government reforms, making a system of currency, a justice system and writing all their laws into a giant book nobody bother to read. The High Elves have also managaed to piss off the Aerurikan because they banned Alcohol. But no a underground for it has sprung up. They are on the ascendancy…….for now! (+Valiena, +1 Eco, +hair, +confidence.)

To the south of both Nashiya and Wilthfarthing, a cadre of Gnomish city states have formed and gone into a league, led by the city of Leperchua. They are the middlemen of the world now, and challege the naval supremecy of every nation. Darn they’re good.

The Nekomi continue to expand their peaceful society, heading up and down the rivers so that their people have enough to room to be comfortable but not lonely. The live almost idyllically, with barely any contact with the outside world. They’re serene villages are a sight for sore eyes, and they continue their academic endeavors.

The Wood Elves of Ath’ane, what a people what a people. They have been growing exponentially, and because of magic their birth rats has gone way way up. They have begun to work on a giant summons, the kind that hasn’t been witness since the time of the Alpha’s, beware!!!!!! And they have begu nto make giant Treeforts to defend their northern borders. But now onto the interesting part of Elvlind.

The Brutal War of Light and Dark. Immortalized in texts, plays and paintings throughout history. Some call it the first war, some call it’s the worst war. It started up again with the execution of all 4,000 High Elf Slaves as a sacrifice to Thanatos. In return for this they were granted 20 Templars, and they thought this was a fair trade. They fell upon Nepece with 4,000 Raiders and 400 Templars. They were nigh unstoppable. The High Elves were out numbered and out maneuvered. They would try to put up their spears and fight but they would be decapitated, ravaged. And so the Dark Elves swept throughout their territory, burning villages and all those in them. There would be no slaves taken this time. Also they began to practice a horrible horrible thing called soul ripping where the Avatar of the Templars would feast on the very souls of the High Elves, and offering them to their Dark God.

Then came the Fall of Quanrion. The last of the High Elves were in here, praying to their god, hoping to see one last sunrise. The Dark Elves arrived at night, Raiders and Templars lead by the Fearsome Avatar himself. The High Elves stood vigiliante at their walls, an alabaster shield for all of them. They knew if the sun rose they would surive. But it never did. Night went on. They began to despair. Their god had abandoned them. At what should have been Noon it was pitch black, and cackling the Dark Elves began their attack. With a horrible use of Dark Magic, The Avatar rotted and disintegrated the Gates to the city, and the Raiders and Templars poured in. When the sun finally rose the next morning, there was not a High Elf alive inside. Only the bones of the city and the bones of the dead remained. The city was rebuilt as Balmora and dedicated to Thanatos. The Dark Elves were victorious, the High Elves were destroyed, and the Wood Elves nowhere to be found.(-Nepece, -500 Raiders, -50 Templars)

The Goblins and Ogres continue to search for something to eat to the East, but find only more Goblins and Ogres, but storie of wild beasts with horns bigger than mountains persist.(OOC: It is recommended you send order for what to do with your eco and mana, from now on.)

The Darnorian Empire as its now called, ruled by its “Emperor”, continues to innovate and expand. The summoned large hulking dim-witted creatures to aid the in their creation of the Bazforge and in their mining. These they call the trolls and they are completely loyal to the dwarves. Ah the perks of magic. Using explosive runes they have begun tunneling deeper and deeper and creating bigger house-caves. Rumors are abound about a group called the Baz’s Chosen, but scholars assert they don’t exist yet because there are no funds to pay for them.

I beg your pardon? :p Look below:

Noone post I want top of page!

See, it says no one is to post so you can have the top of the page and etc. But it doesn't say anything about people posting AFTER you get the top of the page. So of course technically speaking I am in the right ;)

Besides, the above wasn't top of page, and we'll have to wait another 15 posts before a new page begins.

And so this isn't spam: Swissempire, may I have permission to write observer stories too? I'd be a Black mage, and a bit like my real self.

You can be in my employ, doing whatever you like. High Black Mage if you want.

Of course, by doing whatever he likes, that may be overthrowing Seth ;)

No he cant, I have my unique gauntlet of unoverthrowness. I have earned it through veterancy in 3 NESes. Besides I'm just giving his credentials. You know like....

JACK BAUER, CTU AGENT!!!!

erik write your point by a wandering mage like u said, then when a great war comes place yourself as a great wizard or something and be all jesus like!!!

Wait... China isn't famous for giant pearls! :p

EDIT: I didn't ban alcohol either! Just public drunkeness and consumption :mischief:

Eric, join, or don't give my player evil corrupt ideas from a game that this is not even remotely based off of;) ;)
Even with the ;), that isn't funny when the opening post has five links to the game that this is based on. :scan:

Seriously Eric, you should join.
As a Black traveller?

Random color philosophy quotes:
White burns the city because it's full of anarchy
Green burns the city because it's unnatural
Red burns the city because it's a city, and it seemed to need a good burning.
Black burns the city because the city got in black's way of fun
Blue does not burn the city, blue infiltrates the city and slowly takes over.

Random opinions from a second person!
Burning the city!
White burns the city because it thinks the city is evil!
Green burns the city because the city is destroying the forest!
Red burns the city because the city stood in the way of its passions or ideals!
Black burns the city because nothing it wanted was in the city!
Blue burns the city because it was a backward town of backward people living backward lives!
I just love "-and it seemed to need a good burning".

To the Tree Dwellers
From the World Eater

We thank you and reassure you we have no aggressive intentions towards your people.

Also, as to your comment about the amazing things one can do with corpses these days, we were thinking about a cookout. You are invited of course, but we recognize our culinary appetites may be somewhat dissimilar from your own.

To Corpses
From Corpse Maker

Since when do corpses talk? Shush now. Thanatos awaits. Unless of course you're the resident ambassador to the Tree Dwellers, in which case...

To the Tree Dwellers
From the Elves of the North

If that pesky snob happens to be the ambassador at your court, we assure you he is... invited... to the banquet as well.

@ Erik: "needed a good burning" hahahaha

The embrace of Darkness is a complete, consuming, controlling grasp. It frees and it enslaves, destroys and creates. When Darkness fell over Quanrion, the Worms of Nepece were shown a brief glimpse of the Arcane Way.

As the Avatar approached the walls, impervious to the arrowheads of the Nepece, raised a hand, curved and clawlike. The defenders watched as their mighty Gate began to rot, to decompose, crack, and collapse before their very eyes. They realized then that their Beacon of Order, their Shining Light, had been engulfed. Some had thoughts of flight, but they were transient. It was not courage that rallied them, it was resignation. They had no place to run. As the gate collapsed, the troops moved off the walls, useless as they were now that they had been breached. So many years, so much effort had gone into those walls. Worthless.

They assembled in the Plaza adjacent to the Gate, a full battle line of weary warriors. Their archers armed themselves with spare swords, knives, slings, anything one could lay hands on as their chosen weapons were all but spent. They stared at the fallen gate, unable to make out anything in the darkness beyond. It was just as well.

The Avatar raised his Runic Sword and the Raiders, possessed by Thanatos, rose such an unholy cry that every inhabitant within earshot was seized with fear. The sound of their charge could be heard long before it was seen and so it seemed an eternity before the first cry and the appearance of the first Raider through the Gate. Time seemed to play tricks with them then, for it took a lifetime and no time at all.

dark_knight_03.jpg

The Raiders were crazed fiends with ancient runeswords. They fought without thought to life, their own or the enemy's. One fell and two more took his place, no mourning. Vengence, perhaps. Not sorrow. They were fiends in their own right, but the Nepece held their ground. It was then, though, that the Thunder was heard. That herald of Doom that all Nepece recognize. The fighting lessened in the center of the battle as Raiders parted like the Great Ocean gives way to the Earthshaker. The Nepece pressed forward, believing they had won an advantage and when they realized, too late, that the enemy was giving ground intentionally, there was nothing that could be done.

DarkKnight3.jpg

If the Raiders were fiends, these newcomers were fully Devils. The Thunder manifested itself and the dreaded Templars of the Black Rose smashed through the Nepece defenders, trampling those in the way and cleaving those nearby. They stormed through the entirety of the Elvish ranks and once they broken through wheeled around for another assault. The rearguard turned about to face this new front, but the Templars veered off and instead charged the defender's flank. The line began to collapse, however desperation breeds great deeds and the defenders were resolved to fight to the end, Devils or no Devils.

That was, of course, until He arrived. The Destroyer of Men, the Black Grip of Death, Consumer of Souls. The Avatar, lit clearly now by Elven lamps, in all his terrible fury, that Incarnation of Terror, the Eater of Worlds. The Avatar sent groups of men down to the House of Shadows with every swing of his Runic Sword. His soulless eyes overwhelmed men with fear before he ripped their souls from their bodies and claimed them as his own. It was then that they truly began to falter, that some indeed broke and ran. It mattered little. Fate held the same Doom for all those of the City. Not one would see a new day.

For it was that every man not slain in battle was consigned to the horrible fate promised by the Avatar. Every man was tortured and bound with chains in the Great Hall of the Palace while the surviving children were brought before their fathers and slaughtered. The women were brought in and brutalized by the troops while every man was forced to watch, his eyelids removed if he tried to avert his glance. A random number were slaughtered and the rest brought away in fetters. The men were then subjected to the whims of madmen as they marched slowly down to the House of Shadows, where even greater terrors await.

A new wall was constructed around Balmora, as it was now called, one composed of the bones of the former inhabitants of the city. A lasting reminder to those who would refuse the Will of Thanatos.

((OOC: I know I said pyramids of skulls in my orders, but I decided I like a ceremonial wall better. Also, sorry if its graphic, this is my foray into depravity and Swiss left most of what I did out of the update. Actually, I left some of what I did in the orders out here :p))
