Circuses. It's fun - they have silly clowns there

And when it comes to circuses, nothing compares to CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!

Anyone seen Cirque du Soleil live? They're French-Canadian I think, and you may also remember them from the parody in the South Park episode about the Romanian quintuplets.

Cirque du Soleil is nice. Other circuses tend to be too abusive to animals for my tastes.

Cirque du Soleil is neat. I must say, they have no animals there, only sheer human talent. The artists are there of their own free will (except those Eastern European kids who were forced to train 24/7 to be good enough at what they do so they could be sold by the mafia). Cirque du Soleil is not connected with the mafia though...

Did anyone see their performance at the (extremely boring) Oscars? It was worth every dime of the ticket, I'm sure.

Sounds very familiar. I think they performed once in Singapore a few years back IIRC, but I didn't go...

As for circuses in general, hadn't visited any since I was in primary school or earlier I think...

I went to circus once or twice when I was a kid, and even got to touch an elephant, although I almost crapped my pants when he started walking towards me as I was sitting front row.

I would say clown are often used in horror-themes, which certainly has given me a more negative view on clowns...they scare me.
