Civ 5 vs Civ 5 campaign addition

I have looked around and haven't really found a satisfying answer.

What are the main differences in Civ 5 and Civ 5 campaign edition from the app store.
I am not worried about multiplayer at this point in time. New to turn based games and would probably get my ass kicked.

Is the single player mode the same? Does it have all the same factions? Is the gameplay roughly the same?

are there any glaring differences in the single player format?

There is no gameplay difference. It is just what they call the version available on the App Store. Multiplayer is not supported.

Neither are achievements.
Don't know exactly, but I think you'll also not be able to buy any DLC.

The only advantage is that you don't have to get a Steam account.

Thanks for the replys guys I just download Civ 4 so I may play that for a while then down load civ 5 campaign addition.
