Civ day launch

I will download the demo to see how well my computer runs the game.Check this form for some feedback on how people are liking the game.

Then if everything goes smoothly ,out to the store to buy.

I'm definitely getting old when I do the sensible thing instead of running out and buying the game at midnight. Or I'm just poorer than I used to be!

I'll go in the office at 9am as usual and browse the forum up to 5:30pm. CiV should be release around 2pm UK so I'll have the afternoon to finally read about you guys playing the game and your first opinions. I'll then rush home and load the demo, which I will play till Friday at midnight, before unlock my release and play for 10 days straight.

Get up at 4:30am CDT to get ready for Lead Lab for AFROTC at 6:30am. Go to classes straight from 6:30am to 12:55pm. Walk home as fast as I can. Hope that Steam has already downloaded all the updates while I was away so that I can jump right into Civ 5. Begin playing my first game without changing out of my ROTC uniform, which will only add to the effect of leading my civilization to greatness. Probably try to invite a friend over at some point to share in the greatness. Play later into the night than I should since I will have to get up Wednesday early as well for PT (physical training) at 6:30am.

I feel the same way,I turned 40 this month ,and money just doesn't seem to last as long as it used too.

Wake up, shower, school for 3-4 hours, get home, watch House MD, download demo, play it. Then few more agonizing days before I get to actually play the full thing -_-.

i will wake at 5am, shower and eat breakfast. then I'll go in and do my workout at the company wellness center, then start my shift at 7am. From 7am on, i will likely be surfing various civ fansites, reading reviews and just generally not getting any work done (I'll work through civ-day when they give me a gorram raise already!). Sometime around noon, I should be able to sneak out.

once home, i will pray to whichever god can hear me that the unlock went smooth and everything works. assuming my fervent prayers are answered, i'll spend the next 12-15 hours conquering the world

Skip class to go and pick up Civ V from Best Buy where I pre-ordered it and play all day! I will, most likely, do poorly on my Chinese exam the next day.

Play as China to compensate.

Just bought a new PC just to play Civ V. Will have to try it with my old machine though until the new one comes.

I knew I would have to replace my PC, but it turns out my old one won't play Civ V period - my ATI AIW X800 graphics card won't run it at all, so I have to wait until the new machine arrives.
