Civ Fanatics Posting Bonuses

Does anyone know if there are any other posting bonuses after you reach 300 posts? Currently this will be my 291st post. I know after 50 posts, you can edit the text under your avatar.

I also know that with 9 more posts I will be able to insert my Manchester United Logo Avatar. Glory Glory Man United !!! However I'm wondering if there are more bonuses the further along you go? Do you unlock more stuff at your 500th post for example? Or is this the pie-in-the-sky that everyone reaches for, at 300 posts?

Perhaps someone with a lot of posts can answer, or even better a moderator like TF or Paddy.

After 30 posts you can edit the text under your avatar.
After 300 posts you can have a custom avatar.

There are no other "bonuses", So you can stop spamming in 9 posts time

Well, although my conduct here hasn't been spotless (mostly for language), I have yet to be warned for spamming. Although not that you mention it Why didn't you come up with that idea when I was sitting at 100 posts? Instead I actually had to think up something creative to type

I'm curious why people think the custom avatar is such a big deal. When I poked around the provided ones, I found one that suited me just fine and kept it....

Because some of us couldn't find a provided avatar that suited us well enough. The avatar is a representation of us. Could you imagine a CurtSibling without the skull, or a puglover without a pug?

OK, I haven't really...But the "Shock and Awe" threads are legit, not mere spamming!

300,000 posts, at 10 a day is 30,000 days or aproximately 82 years. I am afraid, in this case, life IS too short.

And that does not account for the banning, and retirement of obsolete threads.

On the other hand, if you could do 1,000 posts a day, it would take less than a year.

Just for the sake of history and finding out if 300,000 posts is even concevable, what is the current record for most posts in a day?

A lot...
I know there are many posters out there with high postcounts that have had days with spam, so have I. I think my record is about 40-50 posts. Long ago, I've matured.
I think there are people who have done better than me though.

Some people have made short sprints with nearly 100 posts in a day. If you look at the folks who have been around a while, though, and are still posting consistantly, like Curt, or Chieftess, you will find they average less than 20 posts per day. For instance, Curt is at 14.6 posts per day, and CT is at 14.5.

If I remember correctly stormbind did major posting when he first registered in Feburary. He was averaging 40 posts a day!! Then it's back to normal.

At 40 posts a day, 300,000 posts will take 20.548 years (this is rounded up slightly.)

Nothing is impossible but reaching 300,000 posts is highly improbable.
