CIV Gold!

It wasn't enabled but I did so. All patched up. Didn't work, will wipe the folder and re-download.

Ok thanks I will check when I get home! :)

If you have updated BTS to 3.13, you don't have to make this change anymore. The modular loading ini-setting is already in the mod ini and as of 3.13 this overrides the ini-setting of the main config file.

Yeah, I was under the same impression.
However I have the 3.13 patch installed and my modular loading still doesnt work.

I went and opened the civIV.ini file...and voila', the value was still set to 0.
I changed it to 1.

Unfortunately it still doesnt work: I can load the CIV IV Gold Mod (the logo is there on the main page) but no modular parts (no extra leader heads) etc...

Any clue about what to try next?

Thanks!

Nevermind folk, I managed to make it work (it was the double civ gold folder to stall everything).

It loads fine and looks oustanding.

Anybody knows how I can import new custom civs and leader heads into an existing mod? (The GEM one).
I'd love to add new civs and specific leader heads to my 1205ADGEM scenario.

Sorry for the necromancy, but if its not too late, would you consider adding Ante Pavelić as a leader of Croatia, among the other tyrants in the add-on?

The trick is getting a good LH for him. Any suggestions?

it's strange -
but when i try to download the file, in progress i get a bluescreen everytime,
no matter if firefox or explorer

When I go to advanced and load the mod it takes me back to the desktop and never loads the mod, it just sits there.

Version 4.0 takes a long, long time to load. As long as you have the Civilization window there, it's loading. There's a possibility that it may be too much for whatever memory you have.

5.0 (coming soon) will address load times significantly.

Is the DiplomacyFix.zip files necessary? What do they fix?

It fixes the diplomacy (first contact) for leaders and will eliminate the XML error messages related to it on startup. This is already addressed in 4.0 and the patch.

FPK is your friend.

FPK is your friend.

That's one thing we're working on right now. The second is mapping to existing animations, rather than duplicating.

The way Gold evolved, it wasn't as easy as just deciding to pak files. The focus as releases compounded was introducing new material. Now that releases are/will be more manageable, content wise, we can start to look at going back and reorganizing ourselves.

Yeah, I've reorganized the Wolfshanze Mod many times, to make it both easier to find stuff and (when possible) cut-out duplicate files.

More then anything though... FPK is your friend... the switch to the FPK format is a HUGE timesaver on large mod load-times!

I am able to install CIV Gold and "CIV Gold" even shows up on the upper right hand corner when I load the mod. I can't see any new civ's though and if I pick any of the original civs, I get the following error message:

CvLSystemLoadError: ArtStyle ARTSTYLE_MESO_AMERICA is not recognized as an ArtStyle type. Consult CIV4GlobalTypes.xml for valid ArtStyle_*types.

I'd appreciate a quick solution for either problem.
