No probs, glad to be of help. Nice to be called "dude" once in a while :D !

My initial comments on the leaderheads: they're all well done, but my favourites are Salamasina and Musharraf - the latter is excellent IMHO. I might use Salamasina as Makeda of Saba in Civ IV Anno Domini ;) .

Amra created both of those. I couldn't agree more re: Musharraf. Given the limitation of the options, I think it comes off remarkable well. As does Tymoshenko (Sevo).

Is there any way to merge the Civ4Unit XML stuff with the 5-formations mod so that it could be loaded together as one mod?
I'm new to these forums and know nothing about XML, so sorry if I'm being anoying!:D

I'd have to look at it, but it may be a good add-on at some point in the near future.

The premier mod merging tool is Modswitcher by tbd, I willl be running CivGold through it ASAP and combining it will what ever my heart desires...:king:

Well done Wyz! I know how much work this release was for you. When you first proposed this project to the rest of us you stated you wanted to release the "definitive" CivIV civ-pack, and I think there's little doubt that that's what you've done. Versions 1 & 2 were certainly team efforts, but they never would have come together without your determination and hard work.

:goodjob:

Amra-Stellar job as always. I had seen some of the previews along the way but looking at the final product you've done great work with your leaderheads.

Thanks a lot for the compliments everybody. I was happy to help with the leaderheads and am hoping to do so again whenever work on 3.0 begins.

Sevo, excellent LH's by you also, especially Kamehameha. Love the new helmets & beards on some of the other LH's too. :goodjob:

So... not to sound pushy, but when can we expect Civ Warlords Gold?

First, I need to buy 'Warlords'. :) Then, I need to figure out what's changed in the XML. The biggest challenge is coming up with 43 new civ-specific buildings...plus graphics.

I can't give a date at this point, but it all depends on how much has to be done.

Great job with the mod guys.

jeez, you guys need to take a break first!

(oh, and whenever you do make a warlords version, rethinking all the trait combinations might be in order now that there are many more available).

I'm having little problem with this mod, as some of the leaders names in right corner above world map are all grey. I mean there are like 3 civs with same grey color atm. Is this some kinda bug or what?

Or are they just supposed to be like that? :(

Are the borders grey/off-white, or just the names? There are 3 colour options - primary (border), secondary (trim) and text.

If only the names are showing grey, it might be because of the text colour. Yahya is Yemen, and Yemeni's primary colour is a sandy-peach.

Let me know what the borders are, but do report text duplication as well, because I can fix that.

Great mod. However, I have a suggestion. I think all of the city names should be in English. I noticed that some of the Austrian cities are in German, and the Irish cities are in Irish, etc. While those are the TRUE names of those cities (i.e. Wien instead of Vienna), Civ IV was made in English and meant to be played in English so I think everything should be in English. Also, you don't see the Spanish cities in spanish in vanilla Civ IV, or the French cities written in French right? I would appreciate it if this problem is fixed. But nevertheless this is a fantastic mod, one of the best if not THE best on Civfanatics. I especially liked the fact that each civ comes off as a unique entity, even with as many as 43 of them. Nice job.

This is something I went back and forth on for the longest time. Usually, I tried to respect the choice of the original mod author. I *did* end up anglicizing the Finnish and Swedesh names, mostly due to non-Roman character issues. I would have no problem with changing the city to English names, but it's a decent amount of work that might be better spent elsewhere.

Of all the civs with non-English names, Ireland was the only one I did, and I even had someone from Ireland tell me that the English names were a better choice. :)

I'll put this on the "to do" list.

Borders are blue and pink, text are grey.
I hope this is what you meant.

Oh and also found another thing, when I go inside borders of this one other country,
instead of name of country it says "TXT-KEY-CIV-TOGO-ADJECTIVE".

edit: 2nd one fixed when he converted to hinduism

Downloading version 2 right now, thanks for all your work, CIV Gold adds a lot of replayability to the game.

One problem I had with version 1 was that the hall of fame would not save any of my scores. Is this common to all mods?

Thank you. :) Besides the cities, some of the leaders are not in English too. For example, Henrique I should be Henry I. Also I noticed something else. About the Magyar civlization. I think it would be better if it were renamed to "Hungary". Not many people know that Magyar = Hungary. Plus Hungary is the more common name used, at least in America. Also if you need help with converting all the names to English, and making sure everything has proper English grammar don't hesitate to ask me. I'd gladly do it if it's too much for you. Thanks again.

EDIT: Sorry for the constant edits but there's another thing. Ireland's flag should be changed. While the shamrock IS one of the most recognizable symbols for Irish culture, the flag of Ireland is actually Saint Patrick's cross. It looks like this:

715px-St_Patrick%27s_saltire.svg.png

This flag has been used by Ireland for the longest time. I just thought that since you put Scotland's flag as Saint Andrew's Cross (which is the correct flag btw) and England already has Saint George's Cross, it would make sense to have Ireland have its Saint Patrick's cross flag. You might notice that if you combine the English, Scottish, and Irish flags you get the flag of the United Kingdom.

800px-Flag_of_England.svg.png

430px-Flag_of_Scotland.svg.png

715px-St_Patrick%27s_saltire.svg.png

800px-Flag_of_the_United_Kingdom.svg.png

Yeah so as you can see, for the sake of consistency I think Ireland's flag should be changed.

I seem to be missing a large number of the alternative skins for the new leaders, many have their original skins even though they all have new backgrounds and animations. Either one of my XML documents was corrupted or someone forgot to apply the new Skins.

The affected leaders are...

Arpad (has regular Peter Skin)
Cuza (has regular Napoleon Skin)
Hammurabi (has regular Cyrus Skin)
Jayavarman VII (apears to hve completly fallen over with this arm flailing at the bottom of the screen (see screen shot))
Johan De Witt (has the skin/animation that was Solomon in CivGold1.0)
Karl XII (has regular Washington Skin)
Maria Therisa (has regular Victoria Skin)
Mary Stuart (has regular Catherine Skin)
Menzies (has regular Rosevelt Skin)
Mongkut (has regular Tokagowa Skin)
Musharaff (has regular Washinton Skin)
Napoina (has a modified Julius Skin but it dose not match button or pre-view screenshots)
Salamasina (has regular Haspheptus Skin, also new animation makes her upper lip look odd)
Songesto Gambo (has regular Mao Skin)
Taharqua (has the Aynwacha Skin)
Tashunke (has the Pascal II Skin)
Tatanka (has the Skin/Animation which was Solomon in CivGold1.0)
Tomislav (has regular Cyrus Skin)
