Alt + Q -> You have been defeated!!!

Bingo - we have a winner ... maybe not the last step :D

Over to you Dan

Oh, and another desert-with-food answer just came to my mind -- a tile with a food resource (grain or animal) gets struck by global warming.
The state property watermill on desert river tile definitely works.

That's because with state property you can eat sand and like it ;)

Just a quick and easy question, because it's actually bed time for me now:

How many land units do you need to fogbust this 11x11 forested island with the 4 peaks and 9 desert hills?

CivQuizFogBust.jpg

I'm assuming you mean the minimum number? :D

If not I'm guessing 117 (assuming max 1 unit per tile of course).

Of course the smallest possible number wins (the island must not have a single remaining fog tile) -- 9 is still too many units.

six is my guess
do units on top of hills get extra liine of sight as they do in Civ 3? Cause then it would probably be four, depending on the bonus.

I'm guessing 6 with the sentry promo.

None ;) I see no fog on that island ;)

 ... :coffee: ... :run:

What, you can't see the black smoke monster (fog)? Maybe you are not "in tune" enough with this mysterious island ("WE HAVE TO GO BACK!!" :old:).

The sentry promotion and placing units on hills generally help to maximize the line of sight radius, but keep in mind that a unit's line of sight is blocked by things that are elevated above the vantage point of the unit (forest, hills, peaks). And please stick to the rule peaks = IMAPASSABLE.

The correct answer has not been given yet.
Here is the save to try things out.

Hmm...9 is too many and 5-6 are not right. That means that it must be either 7 or 8. Now I need to find out how 7 or 8 will be able to do that and then give my answer.
