Civ Revolution 2

I dunno, Madden is the same madden from 2000, just nipped and tucked here and there.

If they came out with CivRev 2, they'd just have to put some WW2 scenarios in there or something people like.

They better come out with Civ Rev 2 and put me on the MP development team, because the MP for Civ Rev was pretty much unfinished or broken to be more specific. There was seriously so much stuff they left out or just didn't put in as a minimum requirement. Lazy ppl over there.

Yeah? And with you behind the weel the game would be sooo much better, ei? Or would the diplomacy with the other players just include more dude, bro and other "cool" words from the hood? :D

Not sure about editor, but if Firaxis could include more customization options for map and game settings, that would help a lot.

I like the idea of being able to choose the map size, but I like how it is randomly generated and how there are no specific settings. Once you involve various settings it turns the game more into Civ 4. I like this game because it's a balance of offense and defense, and I wouldn't like to take one aspect away from it.

I like the paper-scissor-rock strategy of Civ IV more than the simple attack-defense strategy of Civ Rev. I'd much prefer them a paper-scissor-rock combat style if they ever make a Civ Rev II. It'd add a lot of depth to the strategy of building units.

I like CivRev now but I wish there was a way to slow down the pace of research.

Keep the pace of everything else the same just let me run around with warriors a little longer.

Guess this would fall more under scenario then CIVREV2?

I want hot-seat multiplayer (with save) so my wife, son & I can all play against each other.

I want more diplomacy options. Let me be the one demanding gold, techs and great people. I want to be able to sign a peace treaty which permits freedom of movement. Make the buy/sell/trade tech more flexible. Don't like the price? Negotiate!

Give me some warning when other Civs are building Wonders.

Use sliders for city resource production so I can make it 50/50 Food & Science or 33/33/33 Production, Gold & Science.

Domination victory should require more than just capturing all the capitals. (I might be a Democracy, but if you declare war I'll take your capital with 4 bomber wings and a infantry army on a battleship.)

Subs suck. In previous Civ's they were invisible until you accidentally ran into them. They aren't even good as ocean arti because they can't keep up with the rest of the fleet.

Let me upgrade units for a cost, not just Leo's.

Ever notice that wounded armies heal instantly? Make 'em like warriors - 3HPs. So lesser units might not be able to defeat them, but can wear them down.

Capturing a spy / settler / caravan should be cause for war, unless they are in enemy territory. Make caravans establish trade routes, not just a lump sum gold payment. (Although not the resource trading from Civ3; that's a little complex.) Spies should also be cheaper to build, 10 instead of 20 sheilds - since most actions consume them anyway.

Bigger maps with bigger oceans and landmasses with less coastlines. (I keep playing games where all civs are on the same large spiderlike landmass.)

Show me my tiny starting area BEFORE I pick my Civ. Getting a bad starting point on the map can be even worse if you picked the wrong Civ for that spot. ie. Egypt starting in an area with no desserts close by.

This is my first Civ game to play in the last several years, but didn't previous versions allow you to modify terrain? Seems like you could do some things like change a dessert to a grassland and that sort of thing.

Civ2 allowed you to. Civ3 did not. IIRC, Civ4 doesn't either.

In any case, it is somewhat unfair to compare CivRev with the standard PC Civ games. CivRev was designed explicitly to provide a fast Civ-like game for consoles. It was never intended to provide the depth that the PC games do.

I wish they would balance the victory types. Atm if you don't engage in war you will/should lose. I want all victory types to be equal.

What's the age of discovery? Why upgrades to special units? That has no sense, because all civs should have the same number of special units. It's better with no upgrade, more balanced.
What is the starting bonus of Cyrus? Starting with pottery is useless and +1 science to cathedrals is useless, too. Maybe +6 science would make it worthful.
Bonus, new era, more ICBM maybe? This is Civ Rev, maybe you are missing that

Pottery is useless in this game because it dosen't unlock anything really useful.

I think in CIV rev2 it should have

More civs-Leaders
More customization for your games Length, map size, continents amount, how many leaders to play
The AI is very agressive in CIV REV.
Bring some stuff from civ IV to Civ Rev like random events, espionage, religion
Should be able to put 2 or more human players in a regular game tha just 1. Really Disapointed about that.

Overall CIV Rev was a great game. 9/10 for ps3 from me 9/10 for ps3 from gamespot. I think they should make CIV Rev 2 but it won't come for a while if they decided to make a another one. Definitly CIV V will come first.

I don't know what it'll be like, but I would love to see more units and buildings.. the orignial CivREv was too basic in those areas. I would also add the Ottomans and Persians to the list of playable civs. The Ottoman Empire is the most underrated civ in history!

I think that helicopters or other flying carriers would be sweet :D
And the carier-ships would be awesome, but overpowered as the English...

The 1 nuke in the game is fine for me (otherwise you would have a hell of a lot of players making only nukes), but maybe things like carpet-bombing could be added in the form of a rechargable wonder (another new thingy)

Maybe the possibility to really cut of the resourses from a city (now you have the workers in the city itself that gain trade and production, and thus a 31 pop city could survive for ages) and let the people in them starve.

And what ever happened to chemical weapons?
-reducing oponents offensive or defensive strength/...

Ah well, civrev 2 will just be awesome if it ever gets made...

I think civs stripped of bonuses for online play would be cool, that way we just fight it out on fair ground, the only thing that would come into play would be the map.
