Some things that I would like to see, in a sequel I hope gets made:
> More civ's and some variety in their personality/AI
> Some sort of PBEM mode maybe? I don't know if it's even possible to do through a console... but it would be nice for playing longer multiplayer games
> Different speed games (quick, normal, epic, marathon, etc)
> More than 5 players/civ's per game!
> More era specific units for scenarios.
>>>>>A full length game/scenario set in the middle ages or WWII would need more than the current unit variety.
> User created content, map maker even?
> Multiple leaders per civilization
> Larger maps
> More branches in the tech tree, more techs
> The ability to destroy/raze conquered cities, or even your own. In most games, my cities end up being way too close to one another, IMO. Or the ability to invade a city, loot it, but let it remain in control of your opponent.
> More control in the game type you play, customizing the game
>>>>> option to turn off barbarians, set the global climate, tectonics, landmasses, set victory conditions on/off, picking your opponent civ's, etc
> More in game options!!!
>>>>> This one is a must.
>>>>> Options to turn off advisors, speed up combat, turn off animations, turn off the camera's autocentering on moving units, turning off zoomed in combat, etc
> Speaking of zoom, better zooming options to view your large and expanding empire.
> Stackable units
> More victory conditions
> More ages/eras, for example:
>>>>> Ancient -> Classical -> Middle -> Colonial/Imperial -> Industrial -> Modern -> Post-Modern
>>>>> I'm no historian, so the example could be off, but you get the idea....
> More resource types.
> More diplomatic options
> Abandon the square tiled maps, use hexagons
> Anti-Air ground units, Air support
> All in all, I would like to see the CivRev franchise gain a lot more tactical depth and complexity. CivRev2 could implement the increasing orders of complexity in the increasing difficulty settings
Looking back at my list, I just seem to want MOAR MOAR MOAR!But I guess that's because I already like a lot about the game.
Having played Civ3 and Civ4, I really like CivRev being so fun and yet so much more simple and "dumbed down" than the PC games. But I would really like to see CivRev become a little bit deeper and more complex like its PC cousins. Maybe I just want a Civ game like the PC ones, on the console.
Just play civ4 then.. You want civ4 for console.. Sid didn't want that, and he decides what to do, then, you will never have civ4 for console.. You are only asking for longer games, while Sid stated he wanted faster games for consoles.. Sid will never change what he wanted to do, changing the whole game, then, these are just dreams.. Some things could be used as ideas, like fixing bugs or putting new units, but only 3-4 units, and no special units unless the civ gets a bonus with it (Like it is now).
Also playable on the PC.

I wouldn't count on it...

Hmmm... I was responding to a comment made by someone hoping Rev would eventually come out for the PC, but that seems to have mysteriously disappeared...That just says Rev won't be coming to PC, not that there won't be a Rev 2...unless I'm missing something...

- Currently, you must go to war even if you want to pursue another victory condition. Of course, I understand that some small wars and a decent sized army is needed for any kind of player. But not total war.
