Civ stops responding when I get to plastics/flight in the tech tree

Hi guys,

I've run in to this problem twice now. First I had a game that would repeatedly freeze and stop responding (even when left for several hours, it does not recover). It happened while I was researching Flight.

I started a new game (the attached save) and the game crashes at about the same point - Plastics/Flight. I don't know what's causing it but it takes so long to get to Flight that I probably won't start another C2C unless I can solve this error.

Any advice?

Got a few of these kinds of infinite loop reports building up in areas where we were not usually getting players up to previously. So it's not unusual to be finding bugs in lesser explored regions of the game now and that's the good news that games are going this far.

I'll take a look at this one soon as well.
 
Yeah, I really enjoy drawing out the games by putting hard AIs on a different continent or archipelago to limit contact. This game is at a lower difficulty because I wanted to push through the tech tree and see if I ended up with a bugged game before I dive back in. Looking forward to it though!
 
I ran this savegame through the debugger and it had no problem getting to the next turn. A number of infinite loops have been solved since v36 and apparently you hit one of them. So all you'd need to do to fix this is update to the latest SVN version. Merry Christmas.
