It's nice to know international politics makes as much sense in Civ as it does in the real world. :mischief:

That's why there's gossip about "liberating" a city with quotation marks. It's the Soviet Union type of liberation.

The Maori denounced me immediately upon meeting them, I ended their empire with a scout. gg ez Kupe.

It's well known that the AI is particularly terrible at playing the Maori, but this was on Deity. Do they only start with their one settler and warrior in the ocean and then get their freebies upon settling the campital?

Is he a general or a prophet with special vision?

They get them upon building districts, I think.

It's sort of like that- iirc they only start out with their singular settler and some extra warriors. Once they settle their first city, they get an additional settler. After their second city, another settler. But after that. no more free settlers.

I think deity AIs start with the extra warriors and a builder but they can send them anywhere since they can pass ocean tiles already. They get their second settler once they settle their first city and their third settler once they settle their second city.

Wasn't there a debate somewhere sometime that all Deity AIs actually are like this, that they only have one Settler at a time and get the next Settler when current one founds City until they get the appropriate amount?

It's no debate, it's just how it is.... I think : D

That is precisely the confusing situation the jersey system was invented for. :p

I guess it's better than having France/Mapuche/Pericles next to each other--or Canada and Japan. :mischief:
