The Perfect Storm: Civ VI edition... or, for the Greek Mythology buffs, Scylla and Charybdis. The story here is, my galley was almost wiped out by the northern-most category-5 hurricane so I sailed south to avoid it... only to unveil another category-5 hurricane. Amazingly, the galley survived this (as both storms moved west)... only to be sunk a few turns later by a free city slinger unit.
Tricia Biggar was cheated out of the awards she should have won for Padme's wardrobe in all three prequel films. That was truly a work of art, especially the fusion of Eastern and Tudor styles in The Phantom Menace.
The first game as Maya I was surrounded by Plantations, they defo have bias to that (though I think that one was with Abudant Resources so that could help the algorithm). I had like four cities adjacent to two Luxuries, all of them Plantations but two and at least three Plantations on the side.
rerolling maps trying to get the Maya achievement and I roll this one. I already completed a Maya game, but it's so tempting to play this start with this starting location. Wowsers is all I'll say.
I hated this start but...
Turn 3 Settle turned out to be amazing!
I never seen 10 Era Score after settling the Capital.
First time for everything I suppose.

That's... a lot of food. Would be so tempted to see how good of a one-city-challenge you could do with that - that's about as ideal of a temple of artemis spot as I've ever seen. Plus all those floodable rivers means you can get a pretty crazy dam/aqueduct/iz setup going if you're willing to plow that maize nearby instead.
