Civ VI TSL

Yeah, really awkward for TSL as well. What is Egypt's capitol, Alexandria?

Yes, Alexandria under the name of Ra-Khedet, would probably be the neighboring hex. This will change if they use another leader for Egypt, just as another Arabian leader will have Damascus or Bagdad as their capitol.
It's the same as with CiV Byzantium and Ottomans for TSL maps. Just cancel one of them on TSL maps.

Ive seen some tsl maps put both Istanbul and Constantinople on the same map, just moving the Ottoman capitol to the southeast.

It may not be a "true start" but it'll make sense to give Egypt the delta and change the capitol location of Arabia.

When I was coming up with this map I actually thought the capital was going to be in Egypt but I decided against it since Egypt was in the game. XD

Anyways, I am not going to update this map till more of the capitals get revealed. I put Russia at Saint Petersburg which may be completely wrong, and the capital of Greece could be in two different places depending on the leader.

I do want to see a mod where the first city is random and that changes the TSL a little. Like maybe if you are playing as the United States and your first city is Atlanta, the game will start you in Atlanta Georgia. Just an idea for a variety while still keeping the same neighbors.

I think that is probably the best way to deal with TSL maps. choosing certain civs removes the options for Others (depending on map size)

Arabia-Egypt/Sumer
France-Spain/England/Germany/Rome
Rome-Greece
Germany-Poland

Basically you can't choose a civ if another civ with a capital<8? hexes from yours has already been chosen.

In my TSL games I always just made the capital of the Ottomans Ankara.

So I just finished relocation capitals and I was thinking about the proximity of Arabia's and Egypt's Capital. What if we moved Egypt closer to central Africa just spread things out a bit. Its also possible to just place Arabia at Mecca but then its close to Sumeria. No matter what, cities are too close to do a TRUE TSL on a earth map. Maybe when more civs are introduced, we can exclude a few euro Civs. Or maybe play on a small-standard earth map?

A few of these cities states make me wonder if some civs won't appear as DLC. I can't image Korea to be a civ now that it has been confirmed as a city-state. I hope I am wrong.
It was the same in Civ5. Once developers release the civilization which was previously represented as city state, the city-state was just changed.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't noticed it's not the last post.

If someone see's an incorrect capital, let me know and I will make the final map (pre-dlc)!
Something I have noticed:
China's capital location is not correct, actually the mark on the map is somewhere in Shanxi Provence, while Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi Provence.

The correct location should be the light green dot shown in the attached file, with another map as a reference. hope you may fix it in your TSL map.

I made a thread about this and a grand majority of people said the same thing so I am figuring that I am wrong.

I moved it to the correct spot. When I update these maps I am looking at the previous map and placing dots as close as I can. I guess after several iterations the capital of China moved a bit. LOL Thank you for pointing this out.

I really want to put the names of the wonders and city-states on the map but then there are names everywhere. I am afraid that somebody who does not know city-state from civ may get mixed up.

First, thank you so much for the TSL maps.

I was wondering if there was any tool to share the locations of Capitals, city-state and wonders somewhere ... I did one for myself, and then thought that probably one already existed ...

If not, we can use : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1huqHZSdPM-TTnRPv7o_YphTlue8&usp=sharing . I did my best with available information, but there are probably a lot of mistakes.

EDIT: Also the real capital of Japan during Kamakura era was ... Kamakura. Hojo Tokimune ruled from there. I don't know if we can update the TSL and the capital name at the same time ...

This resource that you have provided, imho, is 1000 times better than what I made in paint. And unfortunately I cannot just adjust markers for cities and change their name. I literally have 10+ maps because I had to redo a whole map if I messed up. I know, I am obviously doing it wrong and making it way too hard. If it is okay with you, I will link your map at the top of this thread. I would much rather use your version than what I have.

Just to clarify, to anyone who might be confused. This is just a map for viewing. This thread was not made under the intent that I would eventually turn this into an in game map. I do not have the no how or the resources.
