Civ2 Democracy Game

I'm posting this here because I didn't think I should take up space in the Democracy Thread, being that they're discussing important stuff in there, so I must ask:
What the heck is a Democracy Game, how does it work, and can I play too?

In short, in a democracy game, there's one person (the "president") who's actually playing the game.

Then there's the cabinet, a bunch of other participants who make proposals on how to continue the game, based on the game info of the president.

Finally, you have the "general population" (all participants). They vote on the proposals of the cabinet, and decide which ones should be carried out.

So that's the democracy aspect. One person plays, the rest votes and decides how to play, basically.

Civilized Guy, first you have to register in the member thread(IIRC you already did that), then you can have a look at the latest "Next Turn" - thread. This thread contains what happened during the last session, i.e. a log. It also contains the latest save of the game (civ2.42) which you can download and have a look at, as long as you don't play any turns or move any units. You can then post your thoughts and ideas in the turn thread or any appropriate thread started by one of the elected advisors. When everyone feels ready, the president plays the next set of turns according to what we together (this is where democracy comes in) decide and post a new turn thread.

You are very welcome to download the game and post any ideas you might have of how to continue or improve the game.

ok, i'm joining too.

I saw mention of it on the front page, and decided to join the forums right away just because of it.

I'd really love to see all major decisions be decided by a group of poeple, and see how kickass a bunch of civer's can play!
