Civ3: how much are u willing to pay?

I would give about 500 DKR, that would be ca. 63 USD, if it will become more expensive, then I will wait, until the price falls. No game is worth using more than 500 DKR on - not even my beloved Civ III.

What it's going to cost?? What it's going to COST?? WHO CARES!!

Now, I know there are a lot of fine folks from overseas and that in itself is marvelous, however, us Yanks, if you haven't heard, believe in the American way and use PLASTIC! WHO CARES what it costs!! A Mastercard is a wonderful thing (at the time of purchase).

Well Ether, isn't plastic the way of the modern people?? I know, I couldn't live without my VISA card and now I'm thinking that I might need a Dinners Card to.
It's like we say in Denmark:
Jeg har Dankort, så det er gratis!

I think the price should only be around $40.00. that is the usual price for newly release games in the US.

I think its a bad Idea for you guys to be talking about how much your willing to pay because when they sell the game they might realize that they could higher the prices and still get us to buy it!

I totally agree!!! If you guys want to talk about it, then tell firaxis that we are only willing to pay $20.00. hahahahah.

That would be really nice if they take our advice.

I dont think this topic is going to be what the marketers of Civ III base there sales price on.

AU $98.95 is the price that most games are
realesed at here. I believe however that this price could greatly incress by the time the game is realesed in Australia.

I believe in the agreement between Firaxis and Hasbro that Firaxis gets to make Civ3 is that Hasbro gets to be the publisher. (Though I read that article over a year ago, and it may no longer be accurate.) If Hasbro is the publisher they get to set price and if so I don't think we'll see it for less than $50US from there site Hasbrointeractive.com (whenever it's done) and possibly as high as $60. Hopefully I'm wrong and I'll be able to pick it up from Firaxis for $40.

Hasbro interactive was bought by some other company.

I hate Hasbro! http://www.civilizationii.com (it might be a different site), which was originally a good site. Now, all it is, is a crappy page that take forever to load, and after it loads, it contains nothing but some ads for other Hasbro products! Hasbro can smooch my white, shiny @ss for all I care.

I couldn't agree more, Vladimir. Hasbro is just another toy-giant, able to buy anything that has any chance of making more money for them profit-horny bastards in the board of directors. They messed up Civ2's site and they're probably gonna charge us very very very much money for Civ3, knowing it will be a classic, before it's brought out, so we (the ignorant fanatics) will buy it anyway.
It would make a grown man
