Civ3 PTW Patch v1.21f Released!

What a pile of POOOOOOO!

6 failed launck attempts in a row, with all players 1.21f.

3 Months, 3 patches, 35$, and I STILL cant play a freaking game!
 
For Civilization 3 the 1.21 (third) patch came out six months after the game was released. For PTW the 1.21 patch (third) four months after it was released. Wow.
 
typical, they release a new patch and i cant use it, because its only for the american version, typical:mad:

Sorry I was so short, koj, but I'd just spent a long session in OT dealing with some sharp reponses and I was pretty raw at the time.I assumed you were being sarcastic, as I thought it was was reasonable to assume the patch MIGHT not be compatible with the aussie release (but it is :D ) but got the impression you were dumping on me for asking.

Dude, your Mod was in the Aust. release version of PTW ( which came as 1.14f); thought you might like to know.
 
I am quite tired, and I tried to read everything, but did they fix the f-15 crash and the invisible fighters going bombing and the fact that chatting with other players gets cut short?
 
I presume this patch still won't allow you to switch between multiplayer and PBEM in mid-game? And I wonder how long it is before the Euro patch gets released. I can't understand why my Civ3 is any different from the US one. It's still in English - hell everything is even spelled the US way (Modern Armor instead of Modern Armour)...
 
Disappointing that they made armies unable to unload but didn't fix the trade bugs.

Very disappointing they have not fixed the MP difficulty level bugs.

Also disappointing, but as expected, no fix for the pbem/hotseat inability to see combat when you are being attacked.
 
Nice patch, but DAMNED HELL I WANT AN UPDATED EDITOR! :D
[I wanna be able to set the diplomatic options at least! :rolleyes:]

Path 1.21f contains all information of the previous patches. You don't need the previous patches before installing 1.21, and if you do have them, you don't need to uninstall them first.

You certainly should not uninstall 1.14f after you installed 1.21 (if even possible) because that would restore the original 1.0 pre-patch files.

In short: install patch 1.21f and don't worry about previous patches anymore.
 
I'm not sure they've fixed the miscounted production after mobilization bug?
 
Zulu; different disk protection makes that they need two different patches...

Nad; AFAIK that was only recently discovered, and as long as you or the players arn't cheaters, it doesn't matter. :)
 
The one bug I wanted to see fixed was the 'difficulty level' in pbem games though. :(

And not having to load it through the MP screen :mad: :)

I know that, but why on earth do they need different copy protections? SafeDisk isn't restricted to the USA...

I'm pretty sure this is working. At least, I've done PBEM games with it and the difficulty level stuck to the setting we chose.

I load PBEMs from the normal Load Game menu option.

It's not fixed, but I was testing 1.21f before I ever heard of it.

FWIW, if you really want to cheat there will always be ways. Find players you trust.
 
Well, I can't comment on this patch, because the GOTM is in 1.14. I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks, or however long it takes me to finish the GOTM, to try out this one...:o
