I've just installed the 3.13 patch and I cant play at all BtS, neither a load game, a mod, nor even a new game, whats hapening? what can I do?

When i start a new game, scenario, mod, or when i'm loading a previous game, i can select all the options like size of map, players and all that, but the minute it starts loading, and with that i mean the green bar, it just goes off, and i dont get any runtime errors or anything, just off with the program, and nothing else.

I'd suggest you uninstall BTS. Delete its folder in program files/firaxis games/sid meier's civilization IV/
Also delete its folder in MyDocuments/MyGames.
Then do a fresh install of BTS.
Then do a fresh install of 3.13.
Try playing a game. If it works, add bhuric's if you want.
If that works, add a mod if you want.
If this does not work, uninstall BTS, Warlords, AND CivIV Vanilla. Delete their folders in program files. Delete their folders in MyGames. Reinstall. Install 3.13 patch to BTS. Go from there.
Also delete its folder in MyDocuments/MyGames.
Then do a fresh install of BTS.
Then do a fresh install of 3.13.
Try playing a game. If it works, add bhuric's if you want.
If that works, add a mod if you want.
If this does not work, uninstall BTS, Warlords, AND CivIV Vanilla. Delete their folders in program files. Delete their folders in MyGames. Reinstall. Install 3.13 patch to BTS. Go from there.

I've unninstalled just BtS along with the patch, and just installed it again and its working, so thanks both of you

so are we getting another patch? i want culture indicaters in the build menu back and annoying stuff like spies in enemy cities kicked out when i declare war/close borders... i don't really understand why these things were tinkered with because they worked fine w/ the previous patch but now is all bugged...

you know what, i never wanted to install any unofficial things but firaxis has not timely addressed these annoying bugs and i finally might have to give into playing with bhruic's patch. ok, i'm off to looking for his patch now... thanks.
firaxis, i gave you a chance and waited all this time, but...
BTW, since it seems like they're too bothered make another fix, why don't they just take bhruic's patch and release that as the official patch? (if he doesn't mind)

Well, I've been away for a while. Have Firaxis abandoned Civ IV now and started on future projects? Or are they going to give us one last hurrah (patch) before calling it quits on Civ IV? Anyone with some inside info?

i just want to give a heads up for people that were waiting for a patch and upset, that bhruic's patch is really great and addressed the issues that the latest official patch created. thanks again everyone!

How can they make another patch if Civilization IV: Complete was released in Australia?
"Complete" doesn't mean "final", that there won't be any more patches, it's just a way of selling vanilla and the expansions in a bundle.
