The Fall of the Eleventh
Let's cut to the chase: Rhye's and Fall of Civilization is one of the most popular mods for Civ 4. It's got a massive following. And accordingly, we have a lot of stories on RFC and its modmods [such as Rhye's and Fall: Europe, Rhye's and Fall of Asia, Dawn of Civilization and many others] in the Civ 4 Stories & Tales forum. It's high time they were organised and given recognition for being slightly different from just your average Civ story. So here we go. The forum's RFC stories can be found below.
Ongoing Stories
RFC for Vanilla Civ4 (by Rhye)
RFC: Rise of the Soviet Union by Alexandertheg8 - one of the best examples of historybook format on the forum IMO, and also one of our few Vanilla stories!
RFC for BTS (by Rhye)
The Gardens of al-Andalus by Gruekiller - Arabs. Hasn't actually started as of August 11, but looks promising.
The Path to Enlightenment by Tlönitte - India. Started to fill the void where RFC India stories should be on the forum, aiming to achieve a historical victory.
Rome: Eternal Empire by MoreEpicThanYou - Rome. A humourous take on the Romans, and definitely a quality story
The Land of the Tsars by trexeric - Russia. History-book format, high quality writing. 'Nuff said. Great story
Ragnar's Revenge! by mbkkbm - Vikings. Written in history-book format, with votes for readers to help decide the direction of gameplay every now and again.
An Iberian Love Story by Alexius08 - Portugal. The story is based around a romance between the leaders of Spain and Portugal, and the aim is to keep the Spanish as allies all game.
Roman Colonial Empire by Almighty Z - Rome. Almighty Z aims to create a global, colonial Roman Empire and defy history.
America's Dawn by Kilroy Was Here - America on the 3000BC start. A story written from a gameplay point of view, if you want an insight into the playing of RFC this is the story for you. It's also a pretty good read in its own right
The Soviet Union by Icaria909 - Russia. With a twist - it starts in 1951. It details an alternate version of the Cold War. Let there be nukes.
The Scottish Sagas by Tlönitte - Vikings... in Scotland. Another quality Tlönitte story, also written in historybook format. Great writing and IMO a must read.
The rise of Ethiopia by JamesCaesar - in the narrative form of Civ story, and definitely a prime example of what Civ stories have to offer in that field.
Carthaginian Power by Prince of Persia - definitely a great story, and well worth a read.
Dawn of Civilization (by Leoreth)
Destruction of History 2 by Yoshiegg737 - Greece. The sequel to Yoshi's highly acclaimed Destruction of History, the aim is to mess up history as much as possible in the ultimate historical Civ mod. Possibly my favourite RFC story
RFC Synthesis (by Linkman226)
China: All Under Heaven by Moshe Dayan - China on the 3000 BC start; self-described by the author as 'semi-historical, and may end up being tounge-in-cheek at times' - an apt description. This story is truly awesome.
RFC: Europe (by various)
Empire of the North by SouthernKing - written in narrative style, this story is somewhat akin to Princes of the Universe and The Celestial Bureaucracy, widely regarded as the two best stories on the forum. Think of it as the RFC edition. A great story.
Sword of Islam (by embryodead)
The New Roman Empire by Tyo - playing as the Ottomans (worldbuildered to be Catholic), and aiming to recreate the Roman Empire in SoI. Looks like it's going to be good so watch this space.
Currently under construction
The original compilation by Alexius08 (in the process of being sorted)

Could we have stories for underrepresented civs in RFC? Most of us are requesting for Mayans (with me requesting to end it in 2012), but what about Aztecs or Incans conquering whoever gets the conquistadors event (or Spain if you managed to avoid them), or India never declaring war against anyone? I can't think about a good theme for Mali, however.
