Civ6 Live stream in 12 mn (3PM EST)

I wonder who's getting cut from launch this time. Probably Siam and Songhai. Also, I guess this means no Spain, or Inca at launch.

There's been mention of being interested in More South American civs, so I'm guessing either Inca or Brazil....

confirmed
China
America
Egypt
Japan

almost certainly
Rome
Persia
India->Mughal?
England
Germany
Russia

Aztec
Inca
Babylon->SEA (for TSL sake, and it could be new ie Vietnam)
Zulu->Kongo?

Roughly ordered in likelihood. (the last few being potentially mixed up a bit..since 2 of them will get cut off)
... but since they said some new to civ series altogether... Kongo in place of Zulu... maybe Mughal in place of India

Man, I'm going to have to increase my rating of the graphics again. Looks better the more they show.
I'm fairly sure those interviewers haven't played much Civ before. Or at least, they don't seem to have read much about Civ6.
I don't know what counts as playing "much" Civ, but the main interviewer played at least enough to feel comfortable criticizing Civ V (mostly multiplayer) and also made a comment about losing workers, leaders she liked, etc. Oh, and she also said she only finished 1 out of 10 Civ V games she played, which is kind of part compliment part criticism.

Hey guys another load of new screenshots for you!

Judging by that screenshot, trade routes are vastly toned down. +1 food and production, +2 gold in the very early game. Ofc the road is also a benefit, and the bonuses are bound to increase later on. Good to know that they've gotten rid of the ridiculous +9 food spam of Civ V though.

From the diplo screen:
options are:
declare friendship
send delegation (25 gold)
denounce
declare surprise war (+10% warmongering)
make deal

intel report
gossip items: none
access level: none
our relationship: friendly
agendas: big stick, 1 hidden agenda
government: chiefdom
roosevelt's relationships: icon of another civ it looks like

gossip (last 10 turns): none

I doubt the Aztecs are getting cut. Plus, hasn't Montezuma been mentioned in some interviews? I hope the Inca are the TSL South America civ. I'm guessing we'll have:

USA, Aztecs, Inca, England, France, Germany, Rome, Greece, Russia, Mongolia, China, Japan, India, Persia, Arabia (or Ottomans), and Egypt from before. For the new civs, I bet we finally get Kongo, or Mali (They weren't in V. Does that count as new?) and then another Asian nation: either from SE Asia (Vietnam, or Burma? Also, the Khmer weren't in V), or Sumer (who weren't in V; could be the mystery character at the start).

Units seems to take far less time to build than in Civ V (although the game could be on Quick for all we know). 6 turns for a Settler, 3 for a Builder. Slingers will only take 1 turn like Scouts, so they'll be more ubiquitous than Warriors in the early game (a departure from all previous Civ games, even if it's a small one). Imo this can only be a good thing, because there sure was enough clicking enter in Civ V...

Yeah, after I posted that she started displaying some civ knowledge.

But "who are you?" "I'm the lead designer" was not a good start.

true, but on one SS you can see building a trader actually takes as much time as building the spearman (3 turns here) - wuite sure its quick speed... - I'm assuming there will be more traders around in general and they won't be as pricey as before. More trade with less impact on ONE city, more need to protect those units... good move...

On other topics:
The Battleship and the tanks animations looked a bit unpolished to me - which they probably are...

There is a fort in one of the SS at the coast/egyptian border - GG-usage again?

That seemed more a standard lead-in to let him introduce himself than actually not knowing.

I realize I'm spamming posts, but there's one thing I need to mention: the 'hard-edged', 'hexy' national borders need to go! They look terrible compared to the smooth Civ V borders. There are some things worth keeping from Civ V, few as they are (imo).

And knowing the lead designer of a game is much more insider info. I have played hundreds of hours of Age of Wonders 3 and don't know the Lead Designer. I don't know them for most of the games I play.

Anna I know as she is the wife of Incontrol a pro Starcraft player and pink hair had obviously played some civ.

Just in case you missed the other streams or are hopelessly addicted to this stuff, or both.

I think the purple-yellow units from some of TPangolin's screenshots are Roman, not sure if Rome is officially confirmed but that color scheme has been used for Rome at least since Civ IV, and they are always a vanilla civ.

Just in case you missed the other streams or are hopelessly addicted to this stuff, or both.
thanks man I missed the other streams, been waiting for info all day.

Starting ahead of time, NOW

Found a vid on youtube. Good quality and pauseable, but ot looks like a screengrab and the actual gameplay is in a window. The tooltips are readable if you're close enough to your screen.
