Civilization 5

Your long posts killed my brain
*must comprehemd*

Capitilism sets up a system where if people work hard and work in the right way(ever think of that) they can succeed in life and get things like healthcare and a college education.

I'm sorry but we disagree on the basics: I dont think that a person should work hard and work in the right way to deserve proper education and free healthcare. And yes I account college to be proper education too. Masters and Phds, that's another story. Maybe that's me, born and raised in a system that provides both, even to a poor degree. And I didnt deny a person who has worked hard his right to a better life. I merely said that
equality, means equal chances of success
That is, a very poor person still has a chance to a better life. Deny him education and healthcare and chances are that he wont make anything out of his life. Providing these two for free by taxing more the rich and less the poor is fine by me.

Obviously none of you has read the real story behind Communism and Socialism. I got some books to prove that the ideals of Socialism is just a facade for the total control of your lives and what you do with it.

Until such time as you can speak from the experience of living with socialism rather than just what you've read about it, I, who have lived under it and choose to continue to do so, will treat your opinions with the respect they deserve.

i no that they probably wont read this but i like really like CIV4, but i would make it more realistic like another person said and probably others, i would make it 10,000 axemen and 5,000 spearmen. i would make more types of weapons, like there wasnt just one type of cannons, or swords. And the biggest one is for me is this, a city with 1,000,000 people and alot of production isnt going to train the same amount of soldiers as a new city with 1,000 people and few production! so i say this: the bigger the city, the more the soldiers.

I think another improvement would be the ability to trade land and not just cities. I think that in diplomacy mode there needs to be a small map of your border with that country, and you draw the borders you want and then ask them what they want for this or to make your own offer. This could also be used as peace terms. If it was this way, then much more precise land deals could be made.

Hello?

is there going to be a CIV5?! B/c i hope all these good ideas do get used. i just hope theres not going to be unlimited resources though. it should be realistic and have a limit on them. like if u have horses... your not going to have 1,000,000 of them. your more likely have a 1,000 if that. so i say that u should have a good amount of the resource, but not unlimited. it also goes great with what i said earlyer about making it a realistic number of slodiers. so u could have 1,000 horse archers with 9,000 swordsmen and 50 catapults. and have more types of soldiers.

Right now it looks like there isn't much going on, but you'd think that something will be done if not for the fact that take5 is desperate for cash and the civ series has been a success each time it's been released...

They could replace advisor pop ups (what to research/what to build) with a list of things to do before enabling the next turn button, so the controls aren't so much hijacked when your turn comes.

well thats your fualt, if u dont notice that it turns red when u cant do anything else and it stays green if u can still move someone. thats your prob lol

my problem is still takin over a city with only 15 swordsmen and 5 catapults! make it realistic and instead of 15 swordsmen, make it 15,000 swordsmen!
to be old and wise you must 1st be young and stupid...A wise munk

Open the options screen (CTRL + O) and check "Minimize Popups". Tada!

water animals that can attack your navy:p like sharks. also futuristic units for future era. New leaders for currents civs and new civs like inuit, poland, austria-hungary not sure bout that one. Canada. Doubt that one. Also JFK for america.

If you look under soldiers in the demographics screen you will notice that if you build a swordsman, the number of soldiers will increase with 6000 (in BTS).

i Agree about navy, but instead of sharks attacking because that would never happen unless its a really small boat and u chum the boat lol. i say that there should be bad weather. like your boats r in the ocean, but then a wave flips the ship! and bad weather doesnt just happen in the ocean. it can happen anywhere, hurricanes, twisters, blizzards.

also u should be able to instead of killing barbs lions and bears, there should be another person or thing like a animal trap. but something were u can catch them for stuff like zoos or if u have sharks near u. u can use them for tourism. and get money and 1 more in population... in that city

Add more resources in general but for every resource it could only supply a certain amount of stuff.
Let's say there are two units swordsman and crusaders. Swordsman only need iron for swords and crusaders need swords and armor. Lets say every iron supply (or maybe it's different for each supply) gets 5 iron points. Swordsman take 1 iron point and crusaders take 2. So this limits your production to
a)2 Crusaders, 1 Sword
b) 1 Crusader, 3 Swords
c)5 Swords
Thus making resources more valuable.
just a basic idea.

i think it should be realistic like actuallyruling an actual country to the furthest extent
like if you build like a swordsman it should take population away and when you disband the unit it gives the poulation back
