Are you logged in as the local administrator? Civ3 requires you be a local admin in order to play.
I have more than 1 problem!
I've installed Civ III, but when I play and quit the game and I want to play it another time, I can't play! I press on the Civ III start button but then nothing happens. Only when I reboot the computer, I can play Civ III another time.![]()
Problem 2: So I installed patch 1.29 for Civ III, but when I installed, I can't open Civ III anymore, even when I reboot the computer! So I uninstall the patch, but then Civ III still doesn't work. Only when I uninstall and install Civ III, I can play it again.
Problem 3: When I used the Landscape Editor, and I change for example the Civ colors. When I play this scenario, I can't change the Techs in the Tech Tree, so when my Civ is trying to invent Bronze Working, I can't change anymore to Pottery. And I don't see also the pictures of the units/buildings in the Tech Tree.
Can anyone help me?![]()
Generally, if we don't answer, we don't know. Maybe not the nicest thing, but it does keep the forum tidy and we don't have a bunch of 'I don't know.' posts.Sorry for quoting my own post, but after 1 year and 4 months, I'm still looking for the answer.![]()
I know you are all busy with answering other people, and that alot are playing Civ IV now. (and that I'm not an active member) But I don't want to wait another 16 months.
(oh, and problem one is solved already, in those 16 months I re-installed Windows and it did normal again ^^)
to Turner,
Now I understand what you mean. Yes I was logged in as the administrator. I will uninstall and reinstall the program in the next few days to make sure i installed it right.
