Glad to help :). In the mean time I'm visiting some family so I'm enjoying the rest of my vacation (I'm still working on city lists but other than that I'm not working on the Provinces and won't for a while. If I'm bored I'll work on them).

Oh this civ looks like a fun civ to play. But I have to ask, isn't Batavia the Dutch name for Jakarta? It appears as it is also a seperate ciclization as well. May you elaborate good sir? Or wizard as it may be.

Batavia-as-Jakarta was named after Batavia-the-ancient-civilization (which is also a poetic name for the Netherlands).

So I'm assuming you're referring to the Batavi? (Wiki page here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batavi_(Germanic_tribe) Interesting, know why the Dutch called Jakarta Batavia for? (As in why did they change the name of the the city to the name of an ancient civilization for?)
 
I recall Greater Europe was doing Greater Moravia before it collapsed, led by Svatopluk though.

by the way,could someone take the files of italy version of The Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont mod & return it as the kingdom of italy under Victor Emmanuel II as a mod, separate from The Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont & post it on steam workshop please:please:

Good day Mod creators, Designer and Players.
Im here to introduce a new civilization concept which im been long planning for.
I don’t know if I should open a new thread or post here,
please let me know if I should move this post somewhere else cause this is my very first post in forum.
In the following article will explain the project. Wish you(or anyone) are interest.

The project are aiming to create a more proper Taiwan civilization. Means the mod will bring Taiwan indigenous elements into the game.
Through the steam workshop and civfan site we’ve already have several Taiwan civilization mod,
interesting thing is the mod we have are nearly all base on the Chinese culture as the starting point,
Which is the only part of the island culture or history, makes the first impression of these mod a
China clone. Is not totally wrong since the tradition Chinese culture has hug influence to the island.
but it also not totally correct cause the indigenous culture are barely to be seen.
Thus these mod might fail to brings up the islands’ true image.




For now the project only have improper design,
some WIP/finished art that mod require, few piece articles full of bad grammar plus tons of horrible diction for ingame civilopedia :c5citystate: .
The only finished elements are the overall concept, history research of the mod and music :greatwork: . But the concept is horrible since this is my first time to design a civ.
I decide to bring the project here. If you willing to spear time to make another new mod or currently looking for idea, please do considerate this project.
Beware that the civilization ability, mechanic, UU, UI, UB or anything that will affect the gameplay experience of the mod are all can be alter/change/redesign after fully discuss.

The project needed the most for now is coding, designer and civilopedia writing person to shape the mod.
Coding needs to be start from the scratch.
Every data and research for the civilopedia is ready for the writer who want to take part on article,
though most of it are awfully bad thus difficult to read since English is not my mother language,
so it might need to be rewrite or massive correcting work.
But few artists who already have experience in Civ5 mod art elements making are also welcome.
Or the 3D artist for further unique model planning.

Recent research bring back this long forgotten heroine of the island,
Jin Niang was the witch doctor of Siraya…one of the major indigenous groups which form by variety small groups on island…back in 18th in Taiwan,
She later became a leader of it. Year 1787, while the island still under control by Qing dynasty, lin shuang-wen incident occurred.
To free her people from the discrimination and tyranny from Qing, she call her people to arms and join force with lin shuang-wen.
During the rise up, she leading the Han Chinese and her people engaged Qing force on island, win almost every battle,
eventually capture the whole southern region, force Qing shift their coast army in China landed the island to stop the invade.
In the end, herself and Han Chinese comrade were all betrayed by a captured general. Under the massive ambushed of Qing army,
lin shuang-wen and his remaining officers were all captured.
To honor the Qing Emperor’s victory, the leaders were all sanded to Beijing then executed, included Jin Niang.

After the incident Qing became more brutal and harsh to the indigenous, cause Siraya completely collapse.
From culture, tales, religion, the Siraya are no longer exists on the island.
Most of it either blended into the Han Chinese community to the modern days, or die away in the pass,
only few small group which was once part of Siraya survive.
survive groups can been seen and visite in Taiwan’s southern county Pingtung nowadays.

Jin Niang. in the fading Siraya song. she was a witch doctor, also a priest, mentor, wisdom female who can unity variety of group,
a great general and fearless warrior while in combat, a first and a last female leader who dare up against Qing ruling in all Taiwan indigenous,
and might be the only one female leader who command people fight the foe in Taiwan history.

2013. Professor Lin Jian-long published his newest book “ The Battle of Tiger claw ” in Taiwan. brings up this long forgotten heroine’s story back to the Taiwanese society.

Unhappy :c5angry: generate from numbers of city double.
While Empire is Happy :c5happy: . City gain Great person point :c5greatperson: equal to the number of trade route :trade: setup.
When a great person is consumed, the nearest city which founded by player gains a 25% output on food :c5food: , production :c5production: , culture :c5culture: , gold :c5gold: and faith :c5faith: in next 20 turn.

Stand along unit. Come with WW2 rifleman.
Cheap to build, but with 2.5 times extra gold :c5gold: to maintain compare to the WW2 riflemen.
If unit garrison in city which founded by your Empire during peace time, it gives the city +1 happy :c5happy: output, buff can not be stack.
If the units build during war time :c5war: , it gain the ability to move through rough terrain as they are flat. and gain lv 1 scouting ability.
Can be upgrade into modern paratrooper unit.

Require electricity technology
Can only be build adjacent to a city and can not be adjacent to another night market.
The Improvement it self provide +1 gold :c5gold: , +3 food :c5food: , +1 production :c5production: and +1 culture :c5culture: .
If Academy, Customs house, Holy site, Landmark, Manufactory are build adjacent to Night market,
these Improvement get extra +2 bonus to their major produce. The effect can not be stack.



Please let me know what do you think about the design or consider to build this Mod.
and again this is my very first post on the forum or doing design, if there is
anything that is not proper please let me know.

Darn that's a big and fancy post, (the art is beautiful! Who made it?), and I also like the idea of focusing on the native Taiwanese people and not one of the more Chinese (or Japanese) influenced peoples. But on to their design!

Their UA is all fine and good, but I have to ask. What do you mean when you say, "While a Great person been consume, nearest city which founded by Empire gain 25% output boost in 20 turns." Also by WW2 rifleman do you mean Infantry? (the vanilla civ unit) I very much like the Night Markets, and the way you limit the amount your allowed. Other wise that you be too strong of an improvement! Overall a very nice civ, (and an even more beautiful post!)

I think this means something like this(?):
"After a :c5greatperson: Great Person has been expent, +25% :c5greatperson: Great Person generation for 20 turns in the nearest City founded by Taiwan"

Also the art is lovely (I especially love the icon!)
