Oh, by the way, if you ever feel the urge to push the Sweden split ahead, then please do so
Another Israel split ideap)
Kingdom of Judea:
UA: Pax Judea
May not annex cities. trade routes sent to civilizations you have declaration of friendship with will give the base yield of strategic resources worked by the city. +5% production towards buildings per each puppet you own. Cost of purchasing building reduced by 25%(and will reduce by extra 5% per every declaration of friendship you have).
UA: Foreign bodyguard
Replaces swordsman. More expansive, but receives a combat bonus(25%) in lands owned by any civilization.
UB: Herodian temple
Replaces temple. Available at construction as opposed to philosophy. Cost less maintenance, but is more expansive to build.
During WLtKD, cities are 25% stronger and provide 1 extra happiness per every luxury they have. When war is declared against you, infantry units spawn near the capital(since the classical era), and barbarians spawn near the enemy's capital.
Replaces swordsman. May be purchased with faith. Receives a combat bonus based on your faith output, and a 20% combat bonus against units with higher base combat strength.
Replaces courthouse. If built in an conquered city, removes unhappiness ,converts 33% of the population to your religion and increases the faith output of the city by 10%. If built in non-occupied city, increases faith and culture by 10%, provides 1 happiness and converts 50% of the population to your religion. Costs 3 maintenance.
Oh, Natan, the link in your signature's not working...
Thanks to the link not working(fixed now), the Israel split will become real(no kidding).... soon....
(You heard nothing, you saw nothing. )
A Civilization for the Yogscast
The Empire of Datlof
Leader Screen and Beginning of Game - http://youtu.be/rbBl5Jqs7ls
Peace - Baba Yetu
War - The Last Post
Red with Gold borders
50% Combat Bonus inside occupied territory or territory with a courthouse inside it.
Replaces Granary, gives one of a unique luxury exclusive to Datlof called Gin.
Replace Knights (models are riding on pigs, perhaps the ones from truffles). Are stronger than default Knights but have one less movement point. Have +20% Combat Strength when inside the capital city.
Leader screen example:
(Replace Yogscast with Datlof)
Greeting: The people of Datlof welcome you, we hope to prosper in peace as long as you don't touch my bit.
War Declared: People of Datlof, Raise up your swords once more, to defend the precious motherland, we will go to war.
Attacked: Fight! Fight On! Datlof will hold! Datlof Forever!
of prefererably: Datlof will hold! Try it, you f*ckers! You will prise Datlof from my cold, dead fingers! (As quoted from the Datlof will hold speech)
In the hardest hour, in the darkest times. The people of Datlof. They fought well, they fought hard, but in the end, they did not succeed, in the defence of Datlof, on that day.
All Out War
Oh, Yogscast! How I miss your days of glory, when both Shadow of Israphel and the Yogpod still were being released. How I miss your days of glory, where you could talk about Jaffa cakes or the Queen for minutes on end. How I miss your days of glory, when you cared about entertaining us, and not about earning money. Now you are but a ghostly shell of your past.
But we must never let our regret overshadow the happiness of today. We should be grateful of what we have, knowing it will eventually be gone.
For nothing on this earth lasts forever.
Yeah, I miss the days too, the YoGPoD was the best and Shadows of Israphel was great. I don't enjoy watching Simon and Lewis' videos anymore whereas I still enjoy the collaboration such as the civ games. The suggestion I made was in reference to Season 10 LIVE of their Civ series, Lewis is normally the best at civ but completely failed this game and proceeded to get intensely drunk. I recommend watching the series it is extremely funny, even though it was during the broken multiplayer update so Barbarians and City States were off.
Has anyone ever planned a Spain split? I've got a few ideas and I'd rather make the civs myself if I can, but I'm curious to know if it's been claimed by any of the large modding empires yet
I'm pretty sure it's in the works. Can't remember whose doing it though. Greater Europe or More Civs maybe?
And I seem to remember JFD mentioning a Francoist Spain at some point.
I checked and yes, Greater Europe is doing it. Well then, that's a shame but at least I didn't start anything yet.
Maybe you can get in on the action. Don't know how far along the project is?
As far as I could tell, it's rather in an advanced stage. They decided to release the civs separately rather than in a pack, though. I'm not sure about it - I don't have any obvious skill to share, as I wanted to try my hand at Civ5 modding again through this, since last I modded was back in the vanilla period
Has there ever been mention of an Arabia split? I've thought about an idea of something like that, utilizing the four caliphates (Rashidun, Umayyad, Fatimid, Abbasid)
Franco and Philip II will round out my Iberian alts.
It was talked about a while back, but didn't really get far. They never do
I posted suggestions, though: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13627499&postcount=725
I would do it, but can't for the same reason I can't do any of my Norways or Fictional civs: art.
You should do it first. People are more likely to do art if they're sure they'll be something behind it, I believe.
After releasing the Dervish State, beginning to write again and starting up my Youtube-channel, sure.
The Grand Principality of Greater Europe has indeed claimed Spain. Anyway, I could just put all the plans here. But I won't, you'll have to go over to the Greater Europe Thread, where I'll do a partial giveaway of the uniques day-by-day.
In all seriousness, it's not too far ahead, but certainly off the ground. I'll get to posting the ideas at some point, though I'd be willing to join forces with more people for it. Bane has been a fantastic help on the Lua, COF has been an art god for this, and just wait until you see Regalman's Asturias map. Pedias/possible translations to espanyol are also needed *hint hint*.
Also, if the Spain Split ever gets released, I may well be looking to do/help on another one, so that's a thing.
How about a Netherlands Split?
Edit: Might have to learn this myself....
I'm planning one, although it's still far off..
