Civ(s) based on some of the AI lords from Stronghold Crusader would be pretty neat to see, imo. Especially if the matches revolves around medieval/late-renaissance eras.
But mostly appreciated would be:

Duc Volpe (The Wolf), a tin-tyrant who's very oppressive to his people to make them work harder and specialises in usage of 'heavy' hitters like Knights and Swordsmen or something silly as "Black Knights".

Nizar (The Silent), basically a leader of a band of assassins, unique unit would be replacement for Swordsman/Longswordsman that's invisible until adjacent to enemy unit, would have high attack power, but wouldn't be able to defend.

YES
Except for that all the civs in Crusader can produce the same buildings, units, everything, so uniques would be a bit inaccurate, and you need two for each civ (literally that is a requirement; the game crashes if you don't). :/

The uniques could be which units and buildings the particular AI build the most.

And those said 'uniques' would have something special on them, like, let's say that Duc Volpe has "Black Knights", that would be stronger on offense and stuff, or just give some bonuses upon killing enemy units or similar and some other unique unit, like stronger, black armor wearing Pikeman or building that would cause unhappiness (To reflect game mechanic), but increase production per citizen or something like that.

Likewise Nizar would have the Assassin and building, like say 'Bakery' to replace granary, that would increase happiness and food, but lower overall production and stuff, really, it all just comes down looking at what AI builds and stuff.

And surely you could have more than 2 uniques per side? Like, let Arabian teams have replacements of the 'normal' units that are like the game counterparts, but then, obviously, have their own 'unique' flavor unit.

Besides the unique buildings and units it might be a bit challenging to come up with the unique abilities.

Here's another Warring States China civ. I'm probably going to keep doing these until someone makes me stop.

Zhou
Wuling
Military Reformer. Pay gold to upgrade a unit to the unique equivalent of any civilization you share a border with.
Handan
Colours - Brown and Black
Unique Unit: Zhou Swordsman. Replaces Swordsman. Cost: 75. Combat: 14. Movement: 2. Possesses the Zhou Generals promotion, which allows the unit to ignore opponents’ positive combat modifiers if the Zhou Swordsman is in the area of effect of a Zhou General.
Unique Building: Junying. Replaces Barracks. Cost: 75. Maintenance: 1. If at war with a neighbor, the Junying will slowly convert tiles within the working range of one of your cities to your possession.
Starting Bias: Hills
Region: China

You would more-or-less do the Unique Abilities based on the personalities of the AI Lords. Like, let's say that if you made Sultan, ingame he doesn't attack with all that great force and stuff, but his troops have +25% morale bonus and thus, they defend quite well, so Sultan Unique Ability would be that your own troops have ~15% combat strength on own lands, and he would receive less unhappiness penalty from amount of citizens.
Likewise The Abbot would have Unique Ability based on faith.
The Wolf would have something akin to what his castle is: Highly oppressive with no real freedom and citizens are basically treated as slaves, his workers would work faster and his cities would be more productive and perhaps double iron resources, but he would suffer more unhappiness from amount of cities or people, perhaps?
And someone like, say, The Pig would have unique promotion for his soldiers that give them +100% more gold from plundering and capturing cities, or that would be "Maceman" promotion only.
The Snake, on the other hand, would have to pay less from buying military units, given that he uses mercenaries.

Concerning the Abbot I've been brainstorming about uniques.
UA: Something faith related like you said.
UU: Monk- Can spread religion like a missionary but is also a combat unit (strength 14?) Comes at theology and doesn't replace any unit.
UB: Cathedral- Replaces temple and comes at theology. Can be bought with faith. Whenever a citizen converts to your religion in a city with a Cathedral recieve a free Monk.

Perhaps the Abbot's UA could be that when he captures a city, it's converted to his religion instantly, if that's even possible. And possibly that you get faith as you kill enemy units.

It is possible, and More Civilizations Ayyubid ability has that exact same thing.

Edit: How about this for the UA-
Receive faith from kills and upon founding a religion have the Holy Warriors belief along side whatever beliefs the players choose.

Sounds fine and dandy to me, but in between creating ideas, we should also propably think on how to make this.

If someone does the World War 1 Ottomans I thought of a possible UA.
UA: Goeben and Breslau- Recieve free units upon accepting a request to declare war. Neutral units entering your territory have a chance to become the player's units
The UA idea is from the German warships Goeben and Breslau which sailed into Ottoman waters and were given to the Ottomans which influenced the Ottoman decision to ally with Germany.

This is interesting. Too bad I don't know how to apply it to my WWI scenario. One I was thinking of for them was a bonus to combat when defending coastal tiles. Gallipoli UA.

I've just started my first job as a librarian at my community college, but working the evening shift there's a lot of down time, so I read about some country's histories and I came across several kingdoms from Korea's past that I would like to see made into civilizations:

Gojoseon

Leader: Dangun Wanggeom

Capital: Asadal

Religion: Tengriism or Muism if Historical Religions is present.

Focus: Culture, Military.

Buyeo

Leader: Hae Mo-su

Capital: Buyeo

Religion: Tengriism, Muism

Focus: Growth/Food

Goguryeo

Leader: Gwanggaeto the Great

Capital: Gungnae

Religion: Buddhism, Muism

Focus: Military

Baekje

Leader: Onjo

Capital: Wirye

Religion: Buddhism, Mahayana

Focus: Naval, Sea Trade

Silla

Leader: Hyeokgeose

Capital: Gyeongju

Religion: Buddhism, Mahayana

Focus: Faith

Hi I have always wondered why there was no civ for either early Australia at the time of the Aboriginal people and the time of the first fleet that brought white people to the continent.

Could someone please make a Australian civ,
If possible I have a few ideas about what could be the civv ability and special units. It would be and early game civ.

Ability: The first time a foreign civ makes land on your continent or is found, the civ is given +3 culture
Special unit: Aboriginal Warrior, ignores terming costs, gives culture boost every time a unit is killed, (eurns a culture points)
Second ability (second option): un improved land generates improved reassures, however when an improvement is built, -1 culture, (a hill will generate +1 production, if you build a mine +2 production but -1 culture)

Can anyone let me know if they would be able to make this Civ
Thanks

The Assassin's Brotherhood

Leader: Ezio Auditore da Firenze
Capital: Monteriggioni
Trait: Nothing is true, everything is permitted
Religion: None
Units: Assassin, Master Assassin
Focus: Military, Culture

Order of the Knights Templar

Leader: Haytham Kenway
Capital: Abstergo
Trait: May the father of understanding guide us
Units: Templar, Master Templar
Religion: Catholicism
Focus: Military, Faith

Calling all modders! If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be, this would be a dream come true for me.

The region now known as Kurdistan (primarily Iraq, but small parts of Turkey, Iran, and Syria as well) has played host to various peoples for thousands of years. The Kurds have existed as long as their land, and have been key players in Middle-Eastern development from the Crusades all the way to the battle against the Islamic State. It's a super interesting land and culture, in a historical sense as well as a contemporary one. I've drawn up a rough draft of the Civilization, let me know if there's anything I can do to change it to be more accurate or balanced within the game.

Civilization: Kurdistan
Leader: Saladin (famous crusade era general)
Spawn location: North of the Babylonians and South of the Ottomans, if possible
Start Bias: Avoids Tundra/snow/ice
Unique Building: Worship Columns. +2 Faith per Turn
Unique Unit: Pesh Merga.* Does not obsolete. +25% combat strength when fighting enemy units of a different Ideology. +10% defensive strength when in enemy territory
*techinically the entire Kurdish military is Pesh Merga, but I thought this made a great unique unit.
Abilities:
"Rebellion Complex" +25% attacking bonus in Kurdish territory. A unit of the most advanced infantry unit available appears by the capital upon the outbreak of war.
"A Silk Scarf" -10% culture cost for aquiring tiles.

That's about all I have. Thanks again for any input.
