Civilization VII Screenshots Thread (Funny, Strange, etc.)

It's not to everyone's taste I know but my grandson loves it
He's not making a lot of progress as he decided the fun thing to do is set a Jaguar Trap and keep watching until the "baddies" fall into it

Friedrich founded Nagapattinam (and later graciously ...uh... provided it to me) with 6 treasure resources in range. And then he built the fishing quay on a lake with no sea access....

(Could have been worse, though. As it turns out, if you block the fishing quay with a treasure fleet, the next fleet will spawn on another tile. Which happened to be the coast tile)

Bonus: The Spanish Armada has really secured that lake. No other navy can match them in that lake.

Do you know if the trap stays effective for multiple units or is a one shot deal?
It's a one shot deal.
And has that bug that prevents later building on the spot been corrected?
Wasn't aware of that but no it hasn't. EDIT: You can build an improvement over it e.g. a Farm but not replace it with a building.

Dunno if it has already been said (haven't reviewed a few pages), but Battersea Power Station also creates a second Fleet Commander (and Aircraft Carrier).

The most brazen forward-settling I've seen in a while:

My recommendation for that, especially if you're going militaristic like Charlemagne normally does:
1. Prioritize expanding your borders to block the tiles the city could expand to (by using the building trick, if necessary).
2. Conquer all of the AI's cities but that one.
3. Deny open borders (and stop the AI from integrating city-states).

Now the AI gets to spend the rest of the game as a tiny enclave with no ability to do anything meaningful. For fun, you can also have an ongoing war where you have a couple units perpetually pillaging all its tiles and killing any units it builds without actually conquering it.

I feel so stupid. How did I not see this when placing the wharf? Guess I was just too excited for this spot...

I feel like everything but the actual volcano should be traversable...it READS "I can move through here" so it's very annoying you can't.

If you leave your treasure fleet there on the quay, and put another ship on the adjacent coastal tile (whatever you can buy cheapest), your next treasure fleet should spawn on your northern coastal tiles there. I think? :)

Ah, too late now. But that’s good to know for next time I screw up. Sadly, this workaround wouldn‘t help with connecting the city to the trade network though.
