I hope this is a joke (and it probably is). I’m a good sport, so that’s okay… but if you want my opinion this whole idea stinks like ten-month-old cheese immersed in a vat of male bovine feces. Why would we want to merge with Apolyton? What have they got that we don’t? And why is it necessary to change the name of CFC? If anything, let Apolyton become a part of CFC! I’m beginning to regret that I registered at Apolyton a few months back, and as Gaius Octavius, no less. I wonder how they’ll merge that account…

I voted
1) "it's for real", because 2 full-working sites are too much for a joke
2) "depends..." because if they renouce to the fees it can be a good idea, but, as Hawk well posted i can't see why i have to pay for play a GotM or for be in the HoF tables.

Of course money can be a problem, but there're many ways to try to make some...

It's a joke (obviously), but I happen to think it's a good idea. Most - if not all - the opposition seems to be from disgruntled OT posters with a perhaps justified anger due to a different OT culture at both forums. Off topic forums disregarded, CFC and Apolyton are two very strong Civ communities that have great potential for greater cooperation.
