Whoooa are you serious? That's something I had never heard of... Wow.
Scand game: After fixing the carthage elephant bug + Temple of Odin, and making sure other wonders were ok, I started this game.. Early millenia were pretty peaceful, with me grabbing a huge chunk of land in Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, and even the eastern steppes and some areas up north, all the way to Mongolia.
Then I figured it was time to expand
I loaded up 7 galleys with 14 berserk and invaded Scotland. I captured the city, but since I knew the Celts had so many units which were way stronger than the berserks' defense, I didn't defend it at all. Instead, I just reattacked their new defenders with a fresh load of 20 berserks. The celts fell within 10 turns after that.
Afterwards, I was left with a good 16 galleys full of berserk, a few horse archers from the Temple of Odin built in Germany, Chivalry on the way, a fortified eastern front in case the mongols invaded...
I Sent the galleys down to Hispania and Italia and captured the roman city in northern Spain, and ROMA

Then made peace with Rome in exchange for some tech, and after 20 turns I was about to finish the roman empire with my 20 knights + knight army, but the mongols invaded!
Here's the minimap from 1648 AD, some time between the roman and mongolian wars:
