As you can tell, I have been here since Jan 31 2003, but I only really started posting properly a year later. It comes from the fact that I post in OT. I would have more posts than that, because I also post in All other games foru, where post count does not count.

Simply he can't guarantee 24 hour turnaround.

Why bother post a temporary leave if you are going to still play.... I don't get it.

good manners/managing expectations. if you normally turnaround within 24hours, people get used to this, so if you're going to be slower for a while, it stops them chasing saves that they assume got lost and need resending.

I used to be in several games that turned around every day.
(Classical was not one of those!)
If you're used to it, you start fretting when it doesn't happen....

..and the doctor has no pills for it.

ok ... guess I'm just used to this and the other game I am in where it is not uncommon not to get a turn back in 3-4 weeks.
