Expanding Civ3: a Theov Mod

Theov, between your mod for Conquests, and TETurkhan's Test of Time mod for Play the World, those are the two mods that I play. I just need to figure out how to add the World War 2 units from Test of Time to your mod to be in mod heaven.

Theov, do you have any idea as to how many downloads you have for your mod?
I don't know.
Quite some people say they like it, but I dont know how many.
Thanks for the kind words. You need more WW2 units?
I am finishing my graduation now, so ask again next month!

I would love to add the WW2 units from the Test of Time mod to your mod.

Congratulations, Theov.

This looks like an excellent mod. Thanks for your great work!

One minor comment:

Added Buildings:
- Brewery. +2 culture. 20 shields, no maintenance. No tech required.

Isn't the brewery a bit too powerful, considering you can build it from turn 1? In the base game, a temple costs 60 shields, 1 maintenance, and gives the same amount of culture.

I think lowering it to +1 culture or increasing the shield cost to 30/40'ish would balance it out.

Thanks. It has been fun to work on it.

I'll check. Careful though, bc the first shields are the most valuable of the game. Spending them on a brewery instead of a scput, warrior, worker would slow you down a lot.

I have set the Brewery to require Wheat to be built, along with having a river nearby. That limits how many you can get.

I still find that this is a really good mod to play, and does not overload my older computer.

yeah that makes sense - but having both wheat and a river; doesn't that limit it a bit too much?
And does this impact the Stonehenge wonder at all (gives Brewery in every city)?

Unless Stonehenge itself requires a Brewery as a prereq(?), it shouldn't matter -- because Wonder-provided buildings get added to every city, regardless of whether that building would have been eligible to be hand-built in that city. The only restriction is whether the buildings get added just to cities on that landmass, or globally.

Just two examples from the Firaxis game: Hoovers puts Hydro Plants in towns (on the same landmass) that have neither a nearby river nor a Factory, and Internet puts a ResLab in towns (on the same landmass) even if they don't have a University.

I am using the older version of your mod that does not include Stonehenge. I will have to look at that one.

The Sabretooth Tiger, Dragon Turtle, and Zombie Elephant does give on the motivation to research Genetics.

I might have never really finished that part of the tech tree, yet.
But ehm... I'm a little confused. You like them, or don't?

Thanks!

I like them, and looking forward to having fun with them.

Playing as the United States of America I went to war with the Aztecs and took their capital. That caused all their other cites to be immediately destroyed and the Aztecs were eliminated. Is that intended? Thank you!

May be you have inadvertently enabled the short game option "City Elimination".
