I'll try to balance as fair as reasonably possible.
Difficulty also influences corruption, tech rate, hut popping result, anarchy time, and a few other things. You don't want the tech rate to be too fast (Regent) or corruption too high (Deity or Demigod). Emperor is a reasonable level imho but whatever you decide.

Sounds ok to me - the ISDG is running on similar settings isn't it ?
Only thing I'd say is even number of players on continents in case universal peace erupts so there isn't an in build tech edge to 1 continent.

Just a few additional notes:
Better do not use hotmail, use gmail or other free mail wich are abundant. Better zip the save.
If somebody drops off which happens often enough, please let me know. I then will tell the password for a replacement player.

You are supposed to get the save from Hawklord by e-mail as attachment. Play and send it on to IanDC by e-mail as attachment. Make sure Hawklord knows your e-mail and you know the e-mail of IanDC. You also should have received your password by pm from me. Keep it secret. After you play and send the turn, you can post that you have done so successfully in this thread.
In case of problems with the save or some other stuff, just post here or pm Sephiroth (game host) or me or Loulong.
It is also a good idea of making all negotiations between your neighbors by e-mail.

GPS to Hawklord. There was a goody hut right near the Chinese City of Bejing which gave us some technolgy that was very handy indeed.

Thanks for the map akots. Hmmm, this is my second PBEM and each time i am last. Is it that the person setting up the game take the conclusion that I am a butt hole from my first few posts and sticks me in the last slot? Or maybe they sense my greatness and place me in the last slot to give the other civs a chance?
