Coke or Pepsi?

Fudge? Citrus? What kind of crazy soft drinks turned up there? I never noticed either.
Don't forget I come from a country where we succeed to find "incense", "wood", or even "banana" flavour in wine ;). Well, without doing any joke about it... next time you drink some coke or pepsi, take care of the taste and I'm sure you'll find citrus and fudge taste if you're careful about it. :)

Well, I didn't know that. Maybe they're siphening the caffeine out of the Canadian product and dumping it in the American product. ;)

caffeine is the drug that keeps many americans moving

I drink soda a lot, especially coke, so i know when i've been violated by pepsi. Pepsi is really syrupy and just nasty, and coke is really acidic, but i like that. Any diet cola is terrible , they're all the same. I really don't get how you can be "brand-loyal" to a friggin soda company.

I like Coke more then Pepsi but I prefere Mountain Dew: Code Red more then both.

Finally someone who agrees with me ! :D

All my friends around call me a freak because I recognize the tastes of coke and pepsi... Moreover, they don't understand I hardly finish a glass of pepsi when I drink coke all the day. I try to explain them Coke is more acidic (the citrus taste I've talked about above) and that Pepsi has a fudge/caramel taste that is sickly (or syrupy as you told) but no one believes me !

Thanx !! :goodjob:

PS : I have my theory... most of people who don't drink a lot of soda mostly feel the sugar taste when they drink so... However, as I'm used to that sugar taste, I feel more the tastes behind than some others. I guess you're just like me :).

Pepsi by far. But Mountain Dew is my favorite.

I would've answered it word for word. I like the acid taste coke while pepsi is too syrupy

I can tell the difference as well, though not so much the fudge and citrus. I'm not sure what to describe the taste in Pepsi, other than having more of a "cola" flavor, since the cheaper sodas seem to have an even more extreme taste of "cola," like Tropical Fantasy's cola soda. I don't think it's fudge....As for citrus, I can almost see where you're coming from, but even as I drink Coke a lot (it really comes and goes, depends which one is cheaper at the time), I can't say it's citrus.

Maybe it's not the tastes of the sodas that we disagree on, but our concept of fudge and citrus!

It really depends on my mood exactly. Sometimes I like Coke's more bitter taste, and sometimes I like Pepsi's sweeter taste. However, I prefer A&W Root Beer and Orange Fanta above both.

There is only one country where Pepsi is more popular than Coke, and that country is the USA.

Pepsi is defenitely sweeter than Coke, maybe that is why. But marketing & branding might also do the trick.
