College Bowl Prediction Thread

If Texas comes back, it'll be interesting to see how many "the only thing that matters is the ref's call" Trojans will whine about that knee down.

Also, if Keith Jackson is going to so blatantly pull for USC, they should've gotten a Big 12 guy for color . . .

and the receiver fumble they didn't call just a few ago

and

Touchdown

Keith Jackson is rediculously pro-USC, but he's from out there and calls all the Pac-10 ABC games, so that's too be expected.
But after that last USC touchdown, Texas isn't going to come back

I agree it's expected, and Keith Jackson was also ridiculously pro-Alabama back when he called SEC and Big Ten games. I'm not complaining exactly, I'm just saying they should've gotten a Texas color guy to compensate.

@pawpaw: And the Texas interception in the first half? The fumble a minute ago lacked a "football move" after he caught the ball - definitely not "indisputable evidence".

EDIT: USC needs a touchdown to put a nail in the coffin . . .

EDIT EDIT: As a guy pulling for Texas, I'm gonna say USC should go for it, 'cause if they get it, it's over . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT: This is the bit I get irritated at. You've got to score, but you need to make sure you score on the last play of the game . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: There's the flag that creates the whine . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: It's funny to watch the color guy take over play-by-play as Keith Jackson insists on pulling for USC . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: Gotta use more clock. Can't leave USC time . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: I'm callin' the Texas win right now. I know, it's bold

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EIDT: I'd rely on more runs if I was Texas . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: I was right . . .

EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT: Now I'm still scared . . .

The Texas call bold? At 12:18 AM? When Young just scored a touch down? Umm, no. A Texas win is assured. 41-38.

Edit: Unless... they're going for the field goal.

Or not. Texas wins!

Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Bush's stupid play is going to be the difference maker.

WOW, That was one helluva game!! Almost as good as the 2003 Fiesta Bowl.

I dunno, there were a bunch of bad plays (missed fg and xp, for two) that could've changed the game significantly.

Music City Bowl
Golden Gophers vs Cavaliers
Cavaliers.

Of course. ;)

Untill someone figures out what the hell a Hokie is

A castrated turkey. Though in VT's case it is thought to have originated from a cheer.

Best game I've ever seen behind the 2003 Fiesta Bowl. Best single game performance I have ever seen, plain and simple. Vince Young is a top 10 greatest cfb player of all time. Amazing how this one guy just beat the whole Trojan team.

edit: Congrats to USC as well. Really classy team, can't say enough about that. When you look at the other great dynasties like Miami, Oklahoma, Nebraska they were all scarred by criminal actions of their player off and sometimes even on the field. None of these USC guys ever talked crap, none ever sought the attention (the media came to them). I hope Bush has a succesful NFL career, he is a great guy.

THEY DID IT! AH HA HA HA HA HA! WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

TAKE THAT ESPN, LLXERXES, MACK BROWN HATERS, ETC!!!!

You people dont understand what I went through...I could not watch this game. I actually watched to when Texas went up 16-7 as I predicted they would do (well, I predicted a 17 point lead) then I went to sleep. I woke back up with about 7 minutes to go in the 4th, and again like I predicted, USC was leading 38-26. I went to sleep with all kinds of thoughts about what ESPN was going to run about how great USC's waterboy was during this "historic run" or some such stuff. I woke up...change the channel on the TV to ESPNews...the first thing I see is the little corner that shows the top headline, and it says...TEXAS DEFEATS USC 41-38 TO TAKE NATIONAL TITLE, and thier playing Vince Young's gamewinning touchdown.

I have NEVER been this happy after a sporting event. I thought all along Texas could win it, I picked them in this thread even, but I always thought in the back of my mind that USC would win it. I underestimated just how clutch and AWESOME Vince Young truly is!

If only Bush wasn't an idiot and kept the ball. Whatever, I hate both of the teams, so I'ts a Hobsons choice.

I definitely know the feeling, I was on the edge of my seat for the entire 2002 national championship. But once we won it, me and everyone I watched it with went crazy!

BTW, Did you catch the replay on ESPNU?
