College Bowl Prediction Thread

Okay, we'll see which one AlCosta did, then one of us will switch. It just made more sense to me to give the most confident pick the most points (so you'd get 32 points if you get your most confident pick right, and only lose one point if you miss your least confident pick).

EDIT: AlCosta did it the same way you did, so I'll reverse mine later. Then I'll just declare the lowest point total the winner instead of the highest . . .

No, that wouldn't work, since that assumes we get the predictions right. I think we'll have to end up giving 32 points for 1, 31 for 2, etc.

Oh yeah. Or y'all could reorder your weights according to a rational system. Y'know, either way really . . .

theimmortal1 didn't pick one Big 10 team to win.

theimmortal1 didn't pick one Big 10 team to win.

Not surprising. When the Vegas lines came out, only Michigan and Ohio State were favorites in their respective games. Though interestingly, the Purdue-Maryland line has moved from Maryland being a 4 point favorite to most places having it dead even. I guess a lot of people are going with a Purdue upset in that one (which I could see happening, as they are not nearly as bad as some people think).

And also, TCJ went all against Big 10 unless you count his pulling a Tressel as a vote of confidence in the Buckeyes.

theimmortal1 didn't pick one Big 10 team to win.

Neither did I. Your point? Hell, RF only picked three Big 10 teams to win.. and the top three in the standings to boot.

EDIT: Heh. I can see why my tOSU/UF "non pick" it could be viewed as that, but was really a) just another chance to be humorous and b) a conscience-clearer, since immortal came in here w00fing up UF right before the Auburn game and we lost, I'm not tempting fate yet again.

I only picked Michigan and OSU to win thier games, the rest of the Big 10 is pretty mediocre. Purdue is still pretty bad, I have no idea who they beat to become bowl eligible because thier defense was horrendous.

Yeah, the Big 10's got some unfortunate matchups this year. I only picked two Big 10 teams, and I certainly have great respect for Big 10 football . . .

Indiana State, Miami (OH), Ball State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana

Quite a killer schedule there, Joe Tiller should be proud :p Not meaning to pick on Purdue, but how do you get away with a bowl bid with THOSE kind of wins? At least Alabama beat one team over .500.
