ASU hasn't looked inspired all year...the reason why Koetter was fired. Erickson should at least be able to recruit nicely, but he hasn't really won anything since he's been out of Miami. Idaho went 4-8 this year.
 
There hasn't been a single XvX matchup so far this bowl season, and the team rated higher in their own conference is perfect through the first week. This bodes ill for FSU tonight (8th in the ACC vs. 4th in the Pac-10)

The first XvX matchup is either the Insight bowl Friday (depending on whether you rate TT 6th or 7th in the Big 12) or the Cotton bowl New Year's Day (3rd in the Big 12 vs. 3rd in the SEC).

The only other XvX matchups are the BCS bowls featuring conference champs: the Fiesta (Big 12 vs. the WAC), the Orange (Big East vs. ACC) and the Title game (SEC vs. Big Ten)

The GMAC bowl is another maybe/maybe not, depending on whether you count Southern Miss as the 2nd or 3rd team in C-USA . . .
 
Am I the only one that picked FSU? I was banking on Weatherford's senior presence and a UCLA letdown, but I've been wavering on that one...

I like ESPN's Independence bowl ticker "Ala held to 17 points or less in last three bowl games 2-1" And who says there's no place left for defense?

EDIT: That's FSU's first lead of the night, right?

Actually, it's really his body type, not because he's good. But also because of that personal foul he got.

What a shocker. You would have expected UCLA to be riding an emotional high after beating arch rival USC, but in the second half their offense was pretty dead.

Hmm... could this be ill-ominous for OSU? :borg:
 
It's not like Florida didn't just come off a big win either...

Usually there is a letdown after such a big win.
 
Hell, I only watched the 4th quarter and I saw the best part. :)

if you listen to the Big 10 apologists, tOSU is coming off the bigger win than Florida.
