Colors n Chrome Interface Modpack for Civ III

They look good. I hope you can get them up when you are finished.

Wow, it's really very nice. It seems more polished, refined, actually "finished" --almost as if the Firaxis graphics weren't quite done. Good work.

Colonel Kraken you say the nicest things! :D

To all who are interested, I have uploaded the modpack to Thunderfall. I imagine he will be posting it soon. The actual file size was 4.3 megabytes. Man, that winzip works real good! LOL :hammer:

The name of the file is colors n chrome.zip. Hope you guys enjoy the modification.

Off-topic: Quite a deal you would make if pulling that deal off in the trade-screenshot.

On-topic: The graphics look great, escpecially the trade screen.

Well... if you ever heard of the Marble Pack, it came a couple of month ago and this completely alters the Civ3 environment !

I just installed the colors n chrome modpack and I LOVE it! Really the graphics are done so well and look so polished and professional. It is such a big improvement over the original Civilization 3 color scheme. Thank you so much for making this and sharing it with us. I really LOVE it, it is the best interface modpack I have seen. Keep up the good work. :goodjob:

I love this modpack and am using it in a personal mod of mine. I have a question though, do you plan on re-doing the rest of the screens to be more chrome-like? For instance the Civlopedia, File and City Screens to name a few?
If you could re-do them, that would be great!
This is a great graphic mod!

Telgar, is this compatible with PTW? I've been playing with this a bit w/PTW and it doesn't seem to be, cause the graphics a re a bit messe dup in the Tech Tree which annoys the heck outa me!

computerdude113: I have a question though, do you plan on re-doing the rest of the screens to be more chrome-like?

Yes, I did intend to modify the rest of the screens. Specifically the City View, and Player Setup Screens. I would like to do the Civilopedia too, but since I have uploaded this mod, I can't tell if anyone has even downloaded it or not. LOL :)

Probably not completely compatible with PTW. I used Civilization III screens for the modification. Im glad you liked the mod though. It makes the effort worthwhile to know someone enjoyed it. Thanks :)

Well it is compatible w/PTW (I have used it and it is very nice)
If it is possible, can you re-do the scroll arrows in the Diplomacy and the navigation buttons in the upper-right corner?

Im glad to hear it is compatible with PTW. I haven't played PTW yet, but plan to soon. As for redoing the scroll/navigation buttons, I could certainly do that, and will since you asked. However, at this time my computer is down due to a motherboard problem. I will be getting a new CPU some time next week, so that won't be a problem for long. Im using my old 486 computer (yes, it's ancient ), so will wait to get the new CPU so I can load all my software and graphics programs on it.

I already have the player setup screens done, however I ran into a problem with the Pick Your Civilization Screen. The area for the Civilization Pictures has magic pink behind it ( that magenta color some call it ), and whenever I move my mouse across the screen, the Civ picture flickers. It's pretty annoying. I've tried all my tricks to stop it from flickering to no avail. I believe it has something to do with how I am saving the palette, but am not sure. If you or anyone else has a solution for this please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

Computerdude113, if you want you can contact me by email for further discussion or we can use this forum. Im glad you liked the mod, I wish more people would make comments (good or bad), so I would know if it is worth finishing the rest of the screens. It would be nice if CivFanatics would put a download counter on these files. I know they have them on some, but mine seems to be missing. By the way, the Modpack your working on sounds very interesting. Keep up the good work! :)

I think it looks really good. Are there any screens not yet done?

I think I am gonna add this to my site, but I dont really have a category for it. . .

The only important screens that aren't done are the player setup screens and the city view screen. I plan to add them sometime soon I think. I checked out your website and it is really very well done. Good Work! :goodjob:
