Colossus vs. The Great Lighthouse

GL is better for isolated - your economy rockets once you get to Astronomy and before then it gives +2 commerce per coastal city which isn't much but helps support your expansion. You only want to work coastal tiles with fish (since you want to grow cottages) so the collossus isn't so good.

On archipelego maps, the collosus equally valuable since you won't have so many land tiles to work. I try and build a strategy around getting both for archipelago maps.

I rank the wonders: 1) pyramids 2) library 3) lighthouse in potential power, the rest I'm less concerned with. This of course, is heavilly influenced by my play style and the settings I use.. Anyhow, colossus is pretty far down the list.

I like all three as well. Though the GW is a good one as well. A settled early GS can usually fuel a passive espionage system fairly well. And the GG's are always helpful. Especially if you get privateers early. I think ToA is vastly underrated as well. Especially in the capital. If I have early marble i like to take a shot at GL and ToA. ToA in a coastal capital if you have the GL is pretty strong. Especially with open borders with a couple civs. 18 trade commerce is not that difficult in the early game.. and gives the same as 3 goldmines.
