Commerce flow chart

The Raw Culture 1 box in the V1.4 Flow Chart has a box in it showing Great People: a Great Prophet, and two Great Artists. Unless things were different in Vanilla, a Great Prophet does not generate Culture.

It might be worth adding to this box the fact that the Sistine Chapel makes all Specialists generate 2 Culture.

That is exactly what it is meant to be showing at present. Notice the Sistine Chapel icon and the text "(SC) spec" at the bottom. The settled Great Prophet is in this case generating culture. I understand that this isn't clear to you however. I am not sure how to make it more evident in the space available. I am open to suggestions.

Right, I'm with you. I now notice there's already the SC icon to the left of the Specialists box; I didn't notice it before, as I was focussed on the Great People box and aren't used to seeing the SC icon. Given that the inclusion of the SC icon is where the Representation icon is for Raw Beakers, it actually seems OK. I'd just thought myself into a bit of a corner, is all.

Okay, so if the Raw Culture box is showing not only GP's who generate Culture normally but also one that does with SC (I'd be inclined to avoid that and just have the SC/Rep icon), what's going on in the Raw Gold box? The GP's bar there shows the icons for a GM, 2GS, a GPro, and two Scientists. Do Scientists and GS's generate Gold in Vanilla? Do GA's not generate Gold in Vanilla? (They do in BTS.) The Specialists bar shows a Merchant; do Priests not generate Gold in Vanilla?

As it stands, the way I'd read this chart, I'd get the impression that I could increase Culture by settling a Great Prophet with SC, and I could increase Gold production by running Scientists.

Good to get that cleared up. I agree that the SC icon is not screaming clarity, first you have to find it, then recognize it, and finally process its meaning. In a sense it is there more to raise questions and for completeness than anything.

Indeed, what is going on with the Raw Gold box? It would appear I copied it from the Breakers tab where it is correct, given Rep., but not for gold. I would have to dive into the many, many layers of the file to see how I managed that but really it just needs correcting. Thank you more pointing that out and taking the time to make your point clear to me! I will adjust that image. Artists do produce gold, but I didn't realize that because I only ever settle them for the Culture points. The Priest needs to make an appearance as well.

Yes, and no. Yes?

Settling a Great Prophet will generate 2cpt if you have the Sistine Chapel, so that is correct. Running Scientists will not increase Gold and there that image needs to be modified.

Glad you like it. I see it still needs a couple small changes but it is just about finished, until I decide to make a BtS version.
