Why do Americans hate communism?
It's the elimination of EVERYTHING this country was founded on - INDIVIDUAL rights, the right to succeed and the right to fail. The right to do as one pleases, something COMMUNISM never ever has.
If you love communism so much, take a visit to North Korea or Cuba (as a peasant, not a tourist.)

As an idea, communism is a "nice " one. Just imagine everybody sharing everything for the common good of the herd.
In reality it is a bad form of government on a large scale, and can never work unless the participants are willing.
It can and does work on a small comunity, tribal, religous sect, or family level however.
Comunism removes a lot of freedoms, which go against the american way. BUT if a bunch of folks choose to get together and are willing to work together for the good of their community, making the necessary sacrifices, it can be a nice thing for them.

Second of all, my ignorant friends, we socialist's and communist's have no hate for anyone other than facist capitalist pigs. And we are more against racisme than anyone other in this world. We believe in a free non-religious palestine, where jews and arabs can live together in peace. We are against the kind of zionism that people like Ariel "The baby killer" Sharon practise (we call i nazionism). It is racist and facist. It says that jews are the choosen race, and that arabs are lower beings.
There have never been a communist state. Many have tried, and even more have said that they tried, but it is a fact that, and i quote Civ3, "None have ever been able tio create the utopia that Marx and Engels "invented".". Stalin was a stalinist. That kinda resembles Machiavellism. Other have been neo-communist, some of those are The People's Republic of China, and Cuba.
Why dont any of you people read some small books about communism, that is NOT written by conservative's (you have read books before, rigth? You know, those things with pages that can be found in libraries? Librari's, you know... Ah, forget it...)? After all, conservatives did'nt create communism.
The ideal communist state, is where everybody is equal, everybody share, there is no racism, no facism, no war etc. There is no dictator in a real communist state. In a real communist state, the people have ALL the power, and there's public elections about everything (a so-called "street-parlement").

I think that one of the reasons communism if feared so much in teh USA is becasue it has been imprinted into society as a word which inspires hatred and fear. This is a result of intense propaganda and scare mongering on the behalf of governments in the past, a prime example being Mcarthyism in the 1950's.
Addionally, with the Soviet Union being an oppressive authoritarian regeime caliming to be communist there is no wonder, when it is used as an example of a communist state, that it gives communism a very bad name indeed. And before anyone goes replying to me saying the USSR was communist go do some research into the history of the USSR, in particular the Kronstadt rising of 1921 where the Bolsheviks slaughtered all the real communists in Russia.

Greed is not a part of human nature. People can live without greed. Some believe, that when all the problems of capitalism (poverty, unequality etc.) is gone, people will not be hatefull and greedy,. because those bad emotions are a product of capitalism.
Not in the next hundred years (it will probably take alot longer), but yes, soner or later, a communist state will be a reality.

I'm not against it; I just don't think it can be done very easily. I don't like how people are closed minded to it, though.

Back in the feudalistick times, the people was incredibly oppresed. But did anyone think that it could change? Hell no! That was the way it was, and people were crazy if they questioned if the system was the rigth thing. But we got pass that, didnt we?
In the early times, people killed eachother regulary, and ate eachother raw afterwards, and we have also gotten past that (of course there are still some african tribes were it happens, but we have shown that it can be changed, here in the western world).
It's just a matter of evolution before greed and hate will be banished from this earth - And then real communism can and will work. Atleast that's my theory. Call it a dream world if you want, quite frankly, i couldnt care less about you uintelligent attacks.

It's an irrational hatred, in the sense that no Communist country is currently poised to invade America. Look at the root cause of hatred and you'll soon understnad.

You say that greed and hate are products of capitalism? So, according to your logic, there was no greed in the Roman empire, in old Egypt, in Babylon...There was no hate in the world until the XVIII century... Man, you commies are sooo funny...
Even the indians(native americans indians) have those bad emotions. Tribes kill tribes for the land. There are relates where the son killed his father to become the tribal leader. And they have NO idea of what is capitalism. So dont make statements such as the quoted one anymore.

I'm talking about the reason for greed and hate in our modern society's. Of course there were other reasons before capitalism, but they are mostly gone now, and those that remain can also be removed in a communist country.
