Community Patch - How To Install

Hello everyone,

Is there any possibility to use the Community Patch withouth Vox Populi? I am currently looking for an AI improvement mod and was often suggested to use the CP for that purpose. I tried Vox Populi but I would prefer to only have AI imporovement, without the major gameplay changes that come with VP. But I can't find a way to download the latest version of CP, only already included in the whole VP package (e.g. page 1 this thread).

When having community patch activated in steam, does it always have newest version ?
Dont know how I can see in workshop what version I have.
My last update of patch is may 2019.

Yes, you can just use CP.

Thx, but why is the file on Steam not as up to date as this one here ?
I will not download from the file location here, was there 2 times for CP or VP files, both times I needed to format my PC after downloading from mega because of tons of malware.

I have never encountered any issues downloading from Mega. It sounds more likely you might had an attack on your computer from something else, like nakware ads.

Yeah there are probably thousand of people downloading the autoinstaller from Mega every month. Your problem is probably not related to VP or Mega. I've heard there is some technical problem with updating the Steam version of CP.

Just run the autoinstaller and choose Community Patch only in the first screen.

If the updates are to large then they can not be uploaded to Steam.

So back to my txt errors. It works without EUI. It definitely appears to install in the right place with automatic installer.

Can I manually install EUI after auto install 43 civ without EUI?

THe game is unplayable without EUI. FYI The manual download link on page 1 for EUI doesn't work.

Hi, just downloaded the auto installer with EUI and whenever I start a new game I get a bunch of errors saying I'm missing textures. I have no icons on any units and can't select any. Any help? Cheers!!

When I decide to use autoinstaller here to have most up to date version:
- After installing, do I need to copy a MP_Modspack to DLC folder again if I wish to play hotseat games ? Using MP_MODSPACK_VP_3-7(No_EUI) at the moment
-Do I need to uncheck the community patch on steam before installing ?

I have never played multiplayer, but yes, you need to unsubscribe from the Steam version of Community Patch, otherwise it will eventually overwrite your newer version from the autoinstaller.

Looks like EUI ended up in a wrong destination. I suppose your Civ5 game is installed in a non-standard location such as drive D:? You need to move EUI manually from the default (= wrong) location on drive C: to your non-standard location. Check a few pages back in this thread where I tell another user the exact location (sorry, I am on my cell now).

So does the minimal install work for you or not? Base VP, 22 civs?

So, interesting dilemma.
Installed the newest version ( non beta) using the auto-installer. Selected the 43 civ Vox w/EUI version, and everything appeared to install ok.
Booted up Civ, went to mods, and then saw that CBP (1) wasn't in the mods selection screen.
Backed out of Civ, checked my mods folder, and it's showing that CBP (1) is in my mods folder.

I've cleared my cache, and then re-installed VP using the auto-installer, and the same thing happens again. I'm not subscribed to anything on Steam, so I don't think that's an issue. Kind of puzzled as to what the issue may be, and would greatly appreciate any insight or problem solving regarding this.

Strange. Have you tried moving all non-VP mods out of the MODs folder? Did you delete ModUserData (same level as the cache folder)? Also, try the non-43 version.
