Community Patch - How To Install

I reinstalled the mod, now without EUI and when I load the game no more errors with files will appear! The top bar is now fully displayed, everything seems to be fine, but again the only problem is the technology tree (it does not scroll and has moved down a little).
I do not really understand based on the discussions above, where exactly I need and what to install, I seem to have everything installed normally: in the MODS folder in disc C. Is it problem?

Reinstalled in steam to disk D in Civilization in the MODS folder (as the installation suggests). Now another problem: there are no modifications in the game in the menu

That's strange. If you install without EUI, the autoinstaller should always install everything correctly by itself. You don't need to move anything manually. (You mention that your Steam is on D: - this is could be a problem for EUI, but not for the non-EUI Vox Populi).

I suppose you gave checked and you have all the DLCs (including the Ancient World Wonders pack) and your Civ5 is up to date.

- Do you happen to have any mod using WHowards's Various Components DLL in your MODs folder - even an inactive one? If yes, delete it or move it out
- Are you subscribed to the Community Patch, More Luxuries, City State Diplomacy or Civ4Diplomacy mods on Steam? If yes, first unsubscribe and then delete them (if they still appear in your MODs) folder
- If everything fails, I'd move everything out of the MODs folder. You may have to unsubscribe the mods from Steam Workshop (you can favorite them, so that you can find them easily later), so that they do not reappear. Delete cache, Vox Populi and reinstall Vox Populi.
- You can also try verifying the game files integrity from Steam. It is somewhere in the Steam app menu

I've already tried reinstalling both the game and the mod. I have a very strange situation: there is a game on disk C and D / drive / games / steamapps ...
In the end, when I go to the game through the disk C, I have the same problem with the tech tree and when using the D drive, now I have in the game list of modifications, I add them, but when the final download of the game, it crashes. I don't understand what to do simply.
It can't be because I don't have the Ancient wonders and all leaders DLC, can it? I just don't want to buy them in vain (suddenly nothing will work anyway).

I have this error txt_key_Happiness_explanation(think I am forgetting a word) I have quite a few of these in the game. Tried reinstalling but that didnt work. Is it not compatible with 3UC 4UC for Vox? Maybe that is doing it? That mod said their is a Jan 21 version of Vox but I don't see that. Thoughts?

I even tried the October version with no other mods. Still have this txt_key_cp_happiness_explanation error on the main screen. Its like the UI is busted. I have done fresh installs etc. Still there. I delete the mod folder on each install. Wont go away lol.

Better ask in the 3/4UC mod thread, but don't think it is causing your problems, as it is being developed specifically for VP and updated regularly.

Edit: Sorry, I reread your post. So you are still getting the error with just bare VP. In what way is your UI busted? Is the too panel messed up? Are you playing with EUI? It seems it landed in a wrong location. Check posts above yours, I explain what to move where to make it work.

The starting point for you will be trying just bare VP without any other mods. Are you still getting the errors? If yes, then there is something wrong with your VP install.

Yeah, I've tried vox vanilla, literally no other mods, on multiple vox install versions, at least 2 or 3 clean installs, deleting every file remotely related to civ that I can find.. On second thought, there is nothing wrong with the UI it is just the txt errors. Where are these txt files supposed to be? In the local documents folder my games/civ 5/text is there supposed to be files in there? Mine is empty. Yes I am using the EUI 43 civ version. This all started with the Dec install of vox. Even switching to a different version doesn't fix the error.

I will check the previous posts again but I thought I did.

So where what is contributing to happiness, wonders found, luxuries, etc. It just says txt_key.... There are other txt errors throughout the game files, but that is the most obvious, and a bit of a pain to play with.

Civ Vanilla is fine, so there must be a problem with automatic installer for whatever reason. So I am doing manual install.

THe UI_bc1 goes in DLC. Done.
Where do you put the UI improved city view files?

I dont understand the delete LUA folder instructions. i am using 1-5, 6C, 7a, 7b plus I would like these Mods, Really Advanced Setup, 3UC/4UC, Vox Enlightenment Era, Unique City States, Vox Enhanced Naval Battle. With this setup do I delete the Lua folder in 1 and 2?

So I tried manual install and have a bunch of new problems.
The top bar doesn't work at all in the UI. I tried deleting the LUA in (1) and both (1) and (2). Same problem of nothing in the top line of UI. I have the UI_blc in the DLC folder. I also can't choose more than 22 civs. Here is a screenshot of my mods folder.

So I switched back to automatic install. The UI is fine but not the txt key errors. So I did an experiment and copied the manual 6c mod over the automatic 6c mod. Nope that broke the UI completely. Does that make sense?

Along with the txt key errors there are a lot of bugs too. Showing gold for all leaders even if there is no declaration of friendship. Not allowing horses to be traded for gold even when you have a declaration of friendship. Horses on desert as Russia, was rather cool an unexpected especially when you have spirit of the desert! lol

I don't know, seems like everything is in the right place and looks right on install.

Those are all intended.

Horses on desert makes no sense. You can't tell who is your friend now just by looking at the list. I play the 43 civ version. I would change that. I'll do it on mine if you let me know what to change. Why would resources not be able to be traded for gold. Seems ridiculous. Is their a new team doing this? Vox has been such a masterpiece up to this point.

Anyways what about the text errors? I was able to get the July version working. So I don't get why the new ones don't install properly, either manually or automatic.

@DeityJ , I am getting a bit confused. Did you delete any folders after the automatic install? You should not. The automatic install will do all this for you, don't delete anything.

I've never tried the 43 Civ version. Please try the minimal install first. Then you can start stepping up.

So first, I'd delete VP and also EUI manually. Also the cache folder (on the same tier as the MODs folder). Then I'd install the non-43 VP without EUI. If it works, I'd delete VP and reinstall with EUI. If it works, I'd try 43-Civ, etc.

You can trade resources only for GPT. If you want to trade for a lump sum, you need to be friends. This is in order to avoid selling a resource for big money and then declaring war the next turn.

Just figured out the text errors for 43 version starts with the 9-8-20 version. I'll try your suggestions

Yeah I agree with that. I mean I was a friend with Rome and couldn't trade for a lump sum. 43 civs and showing gold for non-friends is brutal. I would change that or make some way you can tell who is your friend on the right hand list.

There's a flower icon if you have a DoF, and a shield icon if you have a DP. Amount of gold is public knowledge.

When having community patch activated in steam, does it always have newest version ?
Dont know how I can see in workshop what version I have.
My last update of patch is may 2019.

Just had a look at the mod tab ingame.
It says Version 89beta.
Is this now the same as this 5.12.1 here , or do I need to install manually ?
Sorry dont understand this ...
