Community Patch - How To Install

I can confirm that this kind of issues that the game is unable to load textures dds only happens to me on Windows 11, the same installation on windows 10 works fine.

I think that some new security configurations on windows 11 could be the problem.

I just checked that i actually installed the mod on right place. Dunno why it recommended me my way back installation folder.
 
I Only get mod 1, 2, 3a and 4a, no 5 6 or 7.
I think I have all the locations right, are there any filenames I can search to make sure? I must be doing something wrong.

Note that as of the Great Merge (Version 2.0), the City-State Diplomacy, Civ IV Diplomatic Features and More Luxuries mods have been combined with the Community Balance Overhaul into the (2) Vox Populi mod.
 
the mod also doesn't work for me( windows 11 pro). all parts from 1-4 have problems loading textures

Installation options are:
- (1) Community Patch
- (1) Community Patch + (2) Vox Populi
- (1) Community Patch + (2) Vox Populi + (3a) EUI + (4a) Promotion Tree
Or the 43 civ versions of these.

After the Great Merge (version 2.0), the C4DF and CSD mods are no longer separate. Separating the changes is not supported by the DLL, either.
 
Hey all, initial issue was the browser thanks! The installation instructions confuse me. It says the install path should be C:\Users\mgbra\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5 but my mods install to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070. Which location should I tell the installer?
 
For quite some time now, I haven't been able to play Civ V with just the community patch, due to UI bugs. This is from a clean install of CIV 5, using the community patch, after installing the VP (with EUI option).

Is there a reason this isn't on steam like a normal mod? Either way after multiple reinstallations, I cannot get this to work.

I've just decided to switch from the last steam workshop version of the community patch to a newer version from here. However, I only have the G&K and BNW DLCs. Is there a better way for me to find the latest version that doesn't require the other DLCs than just scrolling through all the GitHub releases and reading the patch notes until I find the requirement change?

All DLC is required.
 
Hi guys, could you help me with one thing?: Is it possible to play ONLY with the Community Patch and still use the EUI?
When I install the Community Patch through the installer, the EUI mod isn't installed so I guess I have to do it manually. Which version should I download? In the first page it says that CP and EUI aren't compatible but it also says that "most Project users" prefer it so IDK...
 
Update: I fixed this by Clicking Mods -> New Game

im having a problem with no status bar.

fresh install of civ5 (all DLC) + vox populi as of 9/16/23. no status bar / information bar (happiness / income / faith, food , culture levels etc)

how do I fix this?

Crashing consistently with this Database entry in Database.log log was in `C:\Users\myUser\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Logs`

It's not possible to use Community Patch with EUI. If you want to play Community Patch, select the option "Community Patch" in the installer, do not select one of the VP options. The statement "most users prefer playing with EUI" refers only to VP.

How do i know which mods work with the latest Vox Populi?
On https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/mods-repository.549/ you'll find mods that are compatible with VP.

If there are problems with the automatic installation, it's also possible to do a manual install as described in the OP.

Everything installed no problem and the game is working, but I have a problem with units not wanting to embark on water.
I can embark settlers, workers, caravans and great people, but all the military units like spearmen or scouts can't embark.
Settlers etc. have embarkation promotion(yellow shield icon). but military units do not.
Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Please help me and sorry if this is not the right place to ask this question, just now I registered to try and find solution to my problem.
