Community Patch - How To Install

Could you please answer me do you all have "What do you think of..." dialogue option with using Civ4 Diplomacy Features, because I don't have, I want to know is it a bug or it's ok.

It dropbox acting weird for anyone here? I can't download anything and sign in, it doesn't show the files name and the sign in button is a muted color. Which I assume means it's disabled.

Seems like it's a different browser, I use Firefox as my main one. I used IE and I could sign in and download the files. Has anyone else had issues with Firefox and dropbox?

Thank you for the help Gazebo.

Unfortunately still the same thing. I believe it's dropbox's fault but I have no idea how to fix it. I can't sign in to ask and nothing on Google shows something similar. This issue came out of nowhere.

Maybe this'll help to show what I'm talking about: http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k48/HellsBells13/dropbox%20problem_zpsg6sliopv.png

Do you mean that you are unable to download the file while you will be asked if you would like to login to your dropbox account? This is something what will also happen to me with Chrome. I just reload the page [F5], hit the download button and download the file without logging into my Dropbox.

I have a question to older versions of CPP.. So I started a game with the CPP-Pack of February 3rd (v. 2/3) and I really like the progress I made for now, but there are some issues like the "Trade offering bug" in which an AI offers you an amount of Gold but then refuses the deal.. I could live with that, but when Venice offered me a peace deal including a high sum of Gold, I accepted the deal finding out that I haven't received the amount of gold..

I know that those bugs are eliminated in later versions, but by trying out the latest version of march I got a CTD. So to what version would it be possible to upgrade in order to continue my save game and in addition, has someone this version I am looking for?

Edit: Oh sorry for double posting..

I'm using the 3/1 files, and I'm using everything except EUI on an English Steam installation of the game in Windows. Let me begin by thanking the modders for all their hard work.

I'm having trouble installing.

The only way I could enable the mods in the game mod browser was to go in and delete all the mod dependencies in all the *.modinfo files. This is because the City-State and Civ IV mods and their enablers would all show something like "this mod requires dependencies that aren't enabled" and I couldn't enable any of them in any order.

Additionally, I don't understand why the order of files and folders being copied to a directory in Windows would affect mod loading order when there is no overwriting of files. Please explain.

It would be very helpful to have a small number of separate consolidated mod sets to download instead of having to follow the instructions for installation, which are a bit difficult to follow, especially since many of the file names are similar. What I mean is, have one download for CP-only users, another for CP+CBP only, another for CP+CBP+CS+CivIV, and so on, each with only a single *.modinfo file. Then there would only need to be one folder copied into the mod folder and only one mod to enable in the game.

I wouldn't delete the dependencies - that will cause major problems. If you can't enable the mods, then you aren't clicking them in the correct order. Make sure you have all the mods in your MODS folder, clear your cache, and then enable them in order.

It would take me hours to keep multiple versions of each mod updated in the way you suggest - hours on top of the time I already spend modding. :)

I tried every order I could think of while carefully reading your instructions, but I couldn't enable the last few mods as I mentioned. All other mods were unchecked as I was trying this. The cache was cleared before I started the game.

Would you please list the mod enabling order I must use if I want to enable these mods?

City State CBP
Civ IV CBP
Health and Plague for BNW
CBP H&P Compatibility
Events and Decisions CBP
CBP Civ IV Compatibility
CSD Compatibility CBP
CBP H&P Compatibility

May I suggest that all mods to be used together have a name that starts with the same word? The current naming conventions are a bit hard to follow on the mod enable screen because they are scattered.

Thank you for helping.

Thank you once again.

I see that I was missing these two:
CP - CSD Compatibility
CP - Civ IV Compatibility

I had misunderstood the instructions on the first page to mean I didn't need them if I was using CBP. Thank you for clarifying. I was able to enable the mods and play the game.

First let me say i love this mod. It adds a lot of complex things to the game. The problem i have is everytime I enable the mods and all the features I am getting a DX11.exe crash same crash i received on the old communita mob before I found this one yesterday. Once the game kicks out I lose my save and everything any ideas.

I just did a clean reinstall of the game, but I still get a CTD whenever I try to load the mod. Any ideas what might cause this?

Hello. New to the forums and new to all these cool mods. So if you and a friend install all these mods correctly can you play a multi-player game together?

Hi,

I'm kind of new to the mods, but love playing civ 5 and when I seen this page it was like discovering Seven Cities of Gold for civ :D

But I don't want to waste your time with my stories - let's catch to the chase. Mods I installed - CP, CBP, CSD, CIVD, Events & Decisions, Health & Plague, More Luxuries, Trade road enchantments.

Here are my game settings: Large, Continents, Emperor, Standard - 13 civs ( added ). Most settings random, resources - tried starting more then 5 times ( different resource setting ).

Here are my problems (I need to mention I play in English and followed the installation guide and order carefully):

1. EUI - when I started the game I was missing notifications on the right, city names, tech tree was empty and top bar was totally messed up...
2. So after some tryouts I decided to delete it and clear catche. ( just EUI & EUI user interface ). All got good - well almost. Interface looks old & ok and I can see the tech tree.
3. My biggest issue is with resources - even thou I set them on high setting they seem to appear very rarely. Haven't seen cattle and horses at all - after researching animal husbandry - I have seen some fish, bananas, stone. But in addition there were no luxuries at all :P Well I know that now you need to research a certain tech &/or adopt a social policy to see them - is there a list of all those requirements? Couldn't find it anywhere.
4. Didn't find any city states - my setting 13 civs, 22 city states, Large map...

I played only for 30-40 turns every time as I wanted to deal with those issues first.

If I posted it in wrong place please move it :P

I play game version 1.0.3.144 - well that's what's on bottom of the screen in main menu ;)

Thanks in advance for any help!
